Full you know any thing about Dimitry Salita? He's been an upcoming welter for a while he mostly fights at Hammerstein in NYC, he grew up in my neighborhood and is a compatriot my friend used to spar with him in the boxing gym growing up. The kid had some skills, very fast counter puncher who packed a wallop of a punch! I just wanted to know if anything is going on the Kids 25-0, IDK what his promoters are doing with him doesn't seem like there trying to make him come up, maybe they don't feel he's ready for the "Big Time" yet!

Salita is an OK technical boxer with a glass chin. That is why they are taking time on moving him up. Not sure why, either way he will be exposed soon enough.

If Dima got the right training he could definitely be a very good technical boxer he's very fast and is a great counter puncher from the stuff I saw from him when visiting the gym but you are right about his glass chin!

Hey Fullbrights, did you see that the Lopez-Matsuda result was changed to a "no contest"? Apparently, under the new WBC rules, when a cut becomes worse because of a non-punch (even if the cut was originally caused by a punch), the result should be a technical decision for whoever was winning on the scorecards at the time. Since Lopez was up on two scorecards, he would've won if the officials at ringside had followed the sanctioning body's rules. I think the only reason that the result was changed to "NC" instead of a TD win for Lopez is that the sanctioning body didn't want to rock the Teiken boat too much.
But, as usual, this crap doesn't help any people wagering on Lopez. The result at ringside is the official result for wagering purposes.

He was in the running for a while in the Arturo Gatti sweepstakes last summer before Gatti finally settled on Gomez. I think he had the lead for the fight, but the HBO brass didn't view him worthy.
Like Mayweatherfan said, he doesn't have much of chin. He has been on the canvas several times and he has fought NO ONE. I think Dibella is looking to cash him out in an all NY matchup with Paulie M. at the Garden, but I may be wrong. It wouldn't be fun to watch, but it would sell a lot of tickets in NYC.

Yep, saw it on Fightnews today. Very shady stuff from Cancun. There was a lot of chaos in the ring after the fight and it appears that it didn't stop there. That quote from Suliaman was hillarious..."We are tired of them unfairly taking away Mexicans' deserved victories, mostly in the country to the north, and we will not let it happen in our own homeland." What an idiot, he is one to talk; he is the king of corruption, Suliaman and DK are practically bosom buddies.
Too bad Suliaman didn't raise a bigger fuss as the fight ended for betting purposes.

Looks like the result will stick as a NC, they should suspend Lopez though.
From Fight News......
Saturday's
WBC featherweight eliminator between former world champion Rudy Lopez
and Naoki Matsuda in Cancun will definitely remain with a final result
of "no contest." The WBC Board of Governors will now review if a direct
rematch shall be ordered. Also, the WBC Disciplinary Committee will
review the unsportsmanlike conduct demonstrated by Lopez after the
fight was stopped when he walked over and punched Matsuda in the back.
