2006 Results (March-July): +19.2 units (+$1,920)
2007 Results: +42.25 units (+$4,225) Last week: -1 unit (-$100) 2008 to Date: -15.38 units (-$1,538)
Time to get back to a full weekend of boxing action now that I'm not doped up on a bunch of antibiotics and decongestants.
2 units on Marquez-Abraham under 8.5 (+130) Not as heavily invested as before the first cancellation, but the line is better now and I am going to roll with my initial thoughts hoping that Abraham is over his illness also.
3 units on Licina-Griffin under 9.5 rounds (+115) Griffin is garbage, I was on Brinkley last time out against him with a medium size wager and now will be against him again this time by way of the under. What does Griffin do after being stopped by the journeyman Brinkley...move up to CW where he gives up 10+ pounds and heads over to Germany; interesting career choice. I watched a few rounds of Lucina on youtube and that's all I needed to see, he seems to have plenty of tools to get Griffin in trouble early though that doesn't take much.
Have this parlay pending on Calzaghe pushing it on..... .50 of a unit to win 2.01 Mosley ITD (-138) Berto (-900) Klitschko (-145) vs Peter Calzaghe (-320) vs Jones Taylor (-550) vs Lacy Still debating on other plays, i'm sure some more props will open up on the Jones-Zags fight. I'm really liking the over in the Salita fight, I just wish I knew something about Campos other then what his record indicates.

I cannot make up my mind in the RJJ - Calzaghe fight
I actually think that if Roy is Roy he can win, But he hasnt been Roy since the night I won some $ owhen Tarver flattened him. He has looked okay lately but is he back?
Is Calzaghe already retired in his mind?

Sorry to interrupt the threat, FB (looks like a great play on Griffin-Lucina under), but if anyone has the Mtagwa-Villa fight recorded, that's a great case study on excellent officiating. So often we face the question in boxing of when to stop a fight, and rounds 9-10 of that match pretty much define how to properly gauge fighters' respective abilities to continue. Congrats to Mtagwa for the unbelievable turnaround, but equal props to the ref for letting the fight continue past the ninth.

I just don't think Roy is Roy anymore and he hasn't been for a long time. I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt after seeing how old man Hops turned back time, but that fight was just stylistically perfect for him in hindsight. I can't say the same for Roy, but I have been wrong many times before.

Dude, don't ever apologize for posting. That fight was sick no doubt about it based on the last 5 rounds that I saw.

I'm sticking with you on Marquez/Abraham under. Just like you, I feel a little less confident with the illness/weight issues? postponement. I still think Abraham will be able to get it done.
With you also on Figueroa by 10 round decision.
Lets get it done tonight

Booyakasha. Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Even though not much went on in the first two rounds you could see it was only a matter of time. I always thought that ODLH show should always be referred to as "The Next Great Chump." For someone like Griffin to have won it shows just how pitiful it was.

Just as scripted. Marquez is a tough guy but was just overmatched. Probably a good decision by the corner, I think it was going to end in the 7th anyway. You had this one from the opening a long, long time ago, nice jub fullbrights.

Germany was very friendly today. What a huge afternoon. 2 units on Marquez-Abraham under 8.5 (+130) 3 units on Licina-Griffin under 9.5 rounds (+115)
1.5 to win 5.7 Calzaghe (-260) Figueroa by 10rd decision (-198) Abraham ITD (-191) Licina ITD (-195)
.5 to win 3.68 Calzaghe (-260) Campos-Salita over 8.5 (-135) Figueroa by 10rd decision (-198) Abraham ITD (-191) Licina ITD (-195)
I think I will probably stand pat for tonight now, key word being "think", jk. I will have to hedge some on Jones if everything pushes through to Zags, it would be crazy not to.

Cheers my man. I hit the ceiling when I realized it was done. Our initial inclinations were correct, Marquez was getting busted up even though Abraham wasn't pressing and at that point in the fight the victor wasn't in doubt.

.5 to win 3.68 Calzaghe (-260) Campos-Salita over 8.5 (-135) Figueroa by 10rd decision (-198) Abraham ITD (-191) Licina ITD (-195) Does Salita stink or what? I was leery of Campos being one of your typical Midwesterner guys which is why I never followed through with a larger straight wager on it, but he was competent enough and Salita was his usual bad self as I suspected he would be. Thought about hedging the next to last leg of the parlays with the Augustus, but I'm still rolling with what I got and will hedge if the opportunity arises for the last leg probably with Jones by decision. WAR Figueroa, but not too much war.

Well the Figueroa bets are null and void as it turns out to be an 8 rounder instead of the previously offered 10 rounds. Can't blame 5dimes, it was listed that way at boxrec also and everywhere else I saw.
Parlays are now.......
1.5 to win 3.29 Calzaghe (-260) Abraham ITD (-191) Licina ITD (-195)
.5 to win 2.28 Calzaghe (-260) Campos-Salita over 8.5 (-135) Abraham ITD (-191) Licina ITD (-195)
.5 to win 2.01 Mosley ITD (-138) Berto (-900) Klitschko (-145) vs Peter Calzaghe (-320) vs Jones Taylor (-550) vs Lacy
I don't think even if it is RJJ's night tonight that he can stop Calzaghe at this point so I am hedging with RJJ by decision (Greek version). Figueroa is in a close one through 4, maybe this is a favorable no action.
Hedge... .60 of a unit on Jones by decision (+400)

It was an entertaining fight with a lot of heart shown by both fighters. Two boxers with spectacular careers that we'll remember for probably the rest of our lives----thanks Roy and Joe!
