Large slate of action this weekend for the first time this year, thanks in part to DK who is putting on one of his monster undercards.  I think that I will have to tune in on streamtv for Jones-Trinidad, not a card I want to support with my money.

2 units on Elio Rojas (+200) vs Velazquez
Nice odds on a DKP/NY prospect fighting at the Garden, maybe some Hairness influence here.  Rojas lost a SD (supposedly) in Mexico to the awkward Diaz, but was deducted 2 questionable points for hitting behind the head in Diaz's backyard.  Velazquez is much more conventional than Gamaliel.  I haven't seen Velazquez since he fought the lesser Pac-Man on VS, but he went nip and tuck with Bobby who I don't think very much of.  Rojas is raw, in watching him fight Edwards on Shobox I thought that he could have gotten him out of there if he would have just settled down and not been so wild.  I really like this dog play.

Not saying that Trinidad wins, but I do think there is some value in this line and that he is able to buzz Jones at some point in the fight.  I think the Jones's shady whiskers/legs will be even shadier having to struggle to get down to 170 lbs.  This isn't the Roy of 10 years ago (of course it's not the same Tito either) that doesn't get hit, today's version of Roy spends a lot of times on the ropes and can be touched often.

I played RJJr. Su, in a Parlay at 1 unit. But I did have to take a stab at "Tito's" remaining Power, and Roy's questionable chin ITD. Though at only 2/10ths of a unit. As being this low in weight might now help Roy, & it won't hurt FT. Now.....that typed....after I saw some of the footage this week, I had to admit, that Roy looked good, & I am nobodies RJJr. honk. My boy he ain't. So I suspect Roy wins, late, or a U.Dec.

You think E.Fields is ok at this level Fullbrights? I like Baily's power in the other FNF's bout.

Don't like Chagaev. As a heavy I mean. He's the worst of the Belt holders in my book. I'm tempted to try Skelton. Tough I want a Prop line b4 I do. Skelton is sneaky, mean, & old. So I expect he must come out all-out & try to get RC out early. As I see little chance for him to get a Decision, vs. a tatical Boxer like RC in the Deutschland. Prolly throw RC on a Decision Prop line if I can find one as well.

I like the LOW on the Foul-Pole, one way or another. Somebody gets stretched or DQ'ed here.

I agry on Rojas, but mine is more of a play against the elderly well shop-worn Hector than anything else.

Interesting take on Skelton.  I don't think much of him, he is good for some bear hugging and wrestling, but he isn't much of a fighter IMO.  You really think that Chagaev is the worst of the belt holders?  I would take him over Iggy and Maskaev at even odds.

Honestly I don't know much about Fields at all except what is out there to read.  I think it's a tough fight to have a solid take on.

No, not so much that I'm high on Skelton. But moreso that beating the robotic and nearly terrible 7` NV, when NV should have sat out to rest his messed up knees does not impress me. Ruiz & VV? Still not overly impressed. I'd prolly take Oleg outta the lesser 3. He seems to have the best single shot outta the other 3. But none of the other 3 are anywhere near Wald, now that Wlad clearly has the best offensive arsenal in the Heavyweight Division.

Tough Al.Po. vs. Eddie will be interesting in 9 days.

I just watched the RJJr. "Tito" Weigh-In. Neither one looks real strong to me. But Roy looks to be in the much better shape. FT looks like he did what he needed to do to cut weight. He looks soft, unStrong, & unCut. Roy ITD now.

I've seen good tall, lean, lanky, about 1 time in 10 in Boxing. Tommy Hearns is the prefect example of this. Mora is not. Most of the time tall, lean, lanky just means a greater surface area to hit, sans a lot of durability. Bailey may or may not have another Title run left? That was a nice straight Right that stopped Mora, from distance no less. But it's tough for me to guage much from 2nite; it's not Bailey's fault; but Mora ain't much.

That string bean looked like Gumby.  I felt bad even watching it, I was laughing from the opening bell.

I'm not 100% sure I would have stopped that at that point? Concrete did not look that hurt to me, but it was a matte of time until he got mixed. 3 nice shots by my count landed by Fields did the bulk of the damage, but none looked like he was fully would up to me.

Still not sure what Fields is or isn't? He is sizey at 198lbs. Dude could easily fill out a bit more. Not sure what Davis had left either? But I'll be watching Fields from here on out.

Funny, I wrote the same thing in that Fields thread about his size.  It will be interesting to see if he stays at Cruiser for an extended period of time.  He had some very nice hand speed, seems like a nice guy also.

Fields was likable on the mike w/ Teddy. Nothing wrong with that.

Karass won. I DNK he'd had all the preFight brew-ha-ha business brewing? Closer than I expected, but the classier guy won a legit Decision by me.

I thought that you didn't have Telefutura?  I watched it from round 3 in and had it 5-3 for Karass in the 8 rounds I saw.

Looks like the Rojas fight is off, no weigh in results at FightNews and it has been taken off the boxrec schedule.  That sucks, I was looking at a juicy scalp to set up some a freebie bet.

From what I understand the Rojas fight is indeed off.  5dimes still has the line up.  They're a little slow on the uptake sometimes though.

Doing something I don't do. Crossing the 3 unit barrier on one anchor to a parlay. The anchor's name (& he ain't my boy); RJJr. Gonna throw RC in if Props for his Title fight do n0t open pretty soon.

RC won. No shocker there. I had to use him at a 10% ROI Line as well. I looked, and did not find any Props for his Outcome. Not much to see there. Skelton is a legit fringe contender, & not much else. 'nother Franklin Warren big Brit, who's simply not a big hit. He can go fight Fraudly & D.Dub 10 times each and be somewhere 'round .500 for it.

Yeah, it was an ugly fight to watch.  Chagaev actually stunned him 2-3 times, but Skelton's bear hugging avoided any follow up opportunities.

I meant to say something earlier in the thread to follow up on your response to what I said about Chagaev being the 2nd best titleholder.  You say that you weren't impressed with him beating a terrible NV who had messed up legs, an excuse I don't buy, but didn't you bet Valuev in that fight?  You must not have thought he was too terrible.  Chagaev has an excellent pedigree and a southpaw style that I believe could pose problems for Wlad, would have no problems with Maskaev, and decision Iggy pretty easily.

Alexander is more of a speedster and doesn't really sit down on much.  Corley has definitely faded, but I think that he would have to be completely done to get stopped by Alexander.  I have a feeling that these two southpaws may put on a stinker on the undercard.  I see a a 7-3 or 6-4ish decision for Alexander.

Well; Oleg won't get past Wlad, so I kan't see Oleg in the mix for long. Yah; I rode the 7` wheels pretty well. We may find out, as there is talk of a re-match. So ask me up again if they ink that. Iggy would be ugly, Koufax vs. Koufax, so who knows on that (i.e. could end suddenly & in a sanguine way). Wlad is too big for RC. RC is not quite a Corrie Sanders hooker either.

The Col. has definitely been around a long time, but I can't stand the guy.  He is a DK fighter nuthugger and he is very biased in his commentary.
