Fullbrights makes some good points, but you're hilarious. You haven't provided anything of merit to make Rees a favorite either.
Have you seen either guy fight?? The -160 might be a bad price, but he has fared equally well against better competition and is deemed to be a better fighter by boxrec.

Vera is a fringe guy at best and pretty sloppy.  Lee's straight shots should find a home pretty quickly and I have a feeling Manny really wants his boy to make a statement in his first nationally televised fight.

Also, put together a fun long shot parlay.

No, I haven't seen either fight, and that's why I'm probably not making a play on it.  I was just saying that given the reports on the two guys, the common opponent, and the fact that it's being fought in Wales, I'd make it a pick 'em.  

I wasn't disagreeing with your original post, although I did think you overemphasized the point that Rees fought someone with 240 losses.

I'm on the Andy Lee under as well. There is just no way Vera can survive 6 rounds with this man.

Ok cool. I also haven't seen either guy. 240 losses is just incredible though. He has only been stopped 10 times and I bet is a decent fighter who accepted his role as an 'opponent'. I hope Rees pulls through for whomever bets on him, but with regard to the workrate, it's easier to be busy against lesser opposition. Good luck on your plays.

True, but he was busy in his only real test against M'baye, who isn't lesser then Kotelnik.  Also, most Enzo fighters are of the busy variety.

I've seen Kotelnik a few times though and he is never very busy.  A solid guy technically, but not one to really hustle which he will really have to do in order to get the nod in Wales.

Good luck to you, no money on the game here just an alum that's glad to see the program getting back to the level Rick Barnes had us at briefly.  I think Purnell can give the program some consistency that it has never had.  Good start so far, listening to it on the radio while watching the Lee fight.  Nice KD in the 1st by Lee.

I think that ref may want to rethink that decision, Lee was hurt far worse earlier in that round and he was firing back with a real shot not some arm shot reaction.

Are you surprised Fullbrights??  Hey, Vera is just a CONTENDER lol. Nobody expected this,this is just the beginning  for you till you lose more with Gomez, another CONTENDER lol.

Like i said before, these CONTENDERS fight with their hearts when they are facing  class a or world class opponents.You got an example of what will happen with the Cotto-Gomez fight , the fight will go over 9.5 period.But i cant complain, thanks to the people like you ill get a better price to bet another $500, please keep betting on the under please!!

I'm surprised that Manny said that he didn't have any problems with it, I guess he has abandoned the sour grapes routine after that whole vasoline/poisoned water scandal post Wlad-Brewster.  For a few seconds Lee actually reminded me a drunken Wlad stumbling around out of gas in that round.

Definitely never saw this coming beforehand and especially after that first round, I feel for anyone that bunched Lee in with anything as a heavy fave.  Vera proved his toughness, but boy is he still sloppy.  This fight was made for Lee to look very exciting against that sloppiness, but wow did he get exposed.  Not saying his career is done, but this was a giant step back.  Hard to believe that a couple months ago Manny was saying he was ready for Pavlik and wanting to take on Winky.

Again you make absolutely no sense, what does Vera beating Lee have anything to do with Gomez last 10 with Cotto.  That's an interesting betting angle because there is absolutely no correlation.

You never answered my question about your statement on what you were basing your opinion that Contender fighters doing well when they fought for the title.  Was it that awesome performance that Manfredo put on against Calzaghe.

I like how you never responded to the above responses to you, but instead came on and posted this gem after this fight like it proved something about Gomez.  Good stuff buddy.

Uh?

What are you saying now, that Feliciano was on the Contender?  He was never on the show.

 It's hard to debate when you don't even know what you are talking about.  Do you still not want to respond to what I posted last night instead you want to spew nonsense?

And again what does all this have to do with how Gomez will hold up to Cotto?
