2 units on over 9.5 rounds (+120) in Vargas-Mayorga
Yep, went according to plan. The KD in the 1st was more of a push than anything, other than that I never really thought the bet to be in jeopardy. Tonight you saw two fighters fighting far north of the weight classes where they made a name for themselves. Like I said, Vargas's plan was to stay on the outside and the pace would slow in the middle rounds. I think the books made out very well on this fight going the distance.
I even got my post-fight hug prediction correct, needed a prop for that one. When will people learn with Mayorga, he just wants to sell tickets and PPV buys; it's all a show.
Won 2.28 units on the night.

Arslan was his usual rugged/sluggish self, but I thought he made some nice adjustments for this fight, specifically the left uppercut. His defense was a little tighter than normal and he was able to cut the ring off more as the fight went on. Thank goodness for that because Hill was on his bike starting in the middle rounds, there wouldn't have been any action. One thing I did take away from this fight is how dependent on the left hand Arslan is, even more so than the Manny of 2-3 years ago. I think any of the other current CW champs will be able to solve Arslan by circling to the left and staying outside of his inconsistent jab. He's rugged, but he's not a top tier guy. I agreed with the 117-111 card. Hill should hang them up now, it's been a nice run.

On an off topic note, my Clemson Tigers finally won a close game coming from behind. A much needed win against our in-state rivals tonight. What made it even sweeter is my wife and I watched the 2nd half with 3 other Clemson fans and about 10 South Carolina fans. I couldn't have dreamed up a better season for the team I love to hate, from 6th in the country at 6-1 to 6-6 and headed to the Toilet Bowl. Even though it's disappointing we aren't headed to the ACC Championship game, maybe we can get a 10 win season for the first time in a while.

I forgot to add an observation I had last night in my late night stupor. I will be looking to bet against Cintron against any fighter who can apply pressure successfully no matter what the odds. If the super limited Feliciano can hang in there with Cintron like that last night with the pressure that he applied, than any top notch pressure fighter will eat him up. I don't care if he hurt his hand early on it doesn't matter. Margarito tears him up again and Cotto rips him a new one. That being said I think he has a decent shot against Williams if that fight still happens, that's a good style for him in my opinion.
