The end of a boxers career
It always has to come. None will go out until they lose. They fight because that is all they know. The glory, the money, the women, the combat, I admit it, I am a little jealous.

He is a punk and I cannot wait for someone to bring him down another notch after jail.

This has been an interesting thread. Floyd acts like a teenager out of the ring, and prepares for bouts like a zealot.
I'm looking forward to tonight.

Also, Floyd has done a great job of not getting into wars in the ring and minimized punishment during all of those years. It's a boring style to watch, but it's one that prolongs careers and keeps fighters better prepared as they age.
I have no clue about Guerrero. I've never heard of him before this and have no idea what his lifestyle or boxing style is like. He may match up really well with Mayweather for all I know.
I just wouldn't point to age as a reason for Floyd's downfall, at least not yet. I will be interested to see if that time in jail has any effect on him at all. I don't think it will, but then again I have never done time.
I'm not betting this fight because of to many unknowns. BOL with whatever you guys decide.

I don't see Mayweather losing this fight. Most likely a decision doubt KO. He just signed a contract with Showtime and probably has several fights to go. To start off with a losing record having a blemish to tarnish his overall record probably isn't going to happen. Mayweather, no matter how much disrespect he gets is still a great businessman, and to start off on a bad note could cost him even more millions.
just my 2cents

I respectfully feel differently. How many athletes have we seen who go soft after taking the big contract. He gets paid regardless.
There is not a win incentive for him, just show up

I wouldn't use Mayweathers age as a reason for him to lose this fight. While its true that father time never loses, Mayweather isn't a typical 36 year old boxer. He doesn't drink, smoke, or do drugs. Fifty Cent, the rapper, has even said that Floyd will leave a club at 2 am, mid party, and run to the gym to get in a work out. He is a machine when it comes to boxing, it's been his entire life.
