Larry Merchant is the slowest and most boring boxing announcer in the history of boxing. If he was gonna call mayweather out he should have at least done it with some confidence and smoothness. He sounds like a bumbling clown half the time

I thought Merchant was just asking fair questions after Mayweather totally sucker punched that poor guy.

My summary of Mayweather after the Guerrero fight:  In my opinion, (especially after his brief incarceration) you can expect more *systematic* matchups.  Meaning, age + a seemingly different mindset based off recent events would seem to have him fighting opponents that would PROBABLY NOT give him a fear of being KO'd.  That means no Sergio Martinez (which would UNDOUBTEDLY bring a healthy fight purse), and you could add Canelo Alvarez in that equation, also (this would be one of those "legacy" fights, a fight that if won in a convincing manner, would bring him closer to be considered as one of the G.O.A.T.'s).  A fight twice a year, at this stage of your career?  You can keep that historical record unblemished, it would just require not only an extra stringent training regiment (which it seems he realizes), but also a more specific pool of fighters to attach himself to, from now on.

Just my thoughts...

unless canelo catches mayweather early, imo Floyd would easily ud canelo if they were to fight this September.

it will be my biggest bet ever in any sport because if a judge is greased as in the canelo/trout fight(christodolou) it will be for Floyd as opposed to canelo.

I give props for alvarez to overcome adversity and secure the knockdown after getting dominated in the sixth but Floyd is on a completely different level than canelo.

there isn't anyone to put in to test floyd at the moment. sergio looked really average and this threads title may be the reason. he is getting up there in age and seems to have lost a little in a lot of areas. I would like to see that fight though. canelo isn't ready for floyd either.

Like I said, I guess this theory just went out the window. Changing the betting amount deviates from that theory. 

Who isn't giving the challenger a chance. He is ONLY a 2-1(ish) dog. Floyds last few opponents were way bigger dogs. 

Btw, I think this is the best time to take Floyd right now, well actually wait closer to fight time and see if the market bets him down. This is his cheapest price in a long time.
