Huge docket on tap. So much value on the board whenever there are this many bouts scheduled. It's just too much for the oddsmakers to get these all split fairly. Poor oddsmakers. Hopefully all of us will hit 'em where it hurts this weekend.
Antonio Escalante vs Gary Stark Jr. Under 9.5 rounds (-125) (Sportsbook) 4 units
Cory Spinks vs Deandre Latimore Latimore +130 (Sportsbook) 3 units
Bert Batawang vs Edren Dapudong Dapudong +230 (Sportsbook) 1 unit
Allan Green vs Carlos De Leon Jr De Leon Jr +525 (Sportsbook) 1 unit

I should have mentioned that as of the time of this post, 5 Dimes has far worse lines on all of these lines than the oft-maligned Sportsbook. I'm taking that as a good sign, as they're usually the fastest to move their numbers. As of now, they've got the Escalante under at -170, Latimore at even, Dapudong at +170 and De Leon at +450.

I see Spink/Latimore as a very intriguing fight, two south paws, Latimore is naturally the bigger puncher and has been at this weight for his whole life. He only truly has Sechew Powell as a real proven test and he did KO Powell. Beyond that he has no real fights, a mere 61 rounds boxed.
Spinks is a tall rangy south paw, hard to predict what mental shape he comes in at. Spinks has fought MUCH better competition and has fought 289 rounds. This is NOT his natural weight. He is a 147 fighter, not a 154 pounder. Spinks is an excellent boxer when he's ON and into a fight. People under estimate how good he really is, because he lacks a solid punch.
He seems like he would be 35 years old or more, but Spinks was born in '78 making him just turning 31 this March, Latimore is only 23.
I don't have a pick on this fight as I find this to be a very good matchup, Spinks doesn't pack a big Punch but Latimore is NOT known for his great defensive skills, and Spinks isn't knowing for KO's!
I expect this to be a GREAT fight, Corey does DUKE it out and he will bring out the best in Latimore!
No pick for me, as Corey is the better fighter but he's fighting above his natural weight and don't know his mental status meaning I don't know how serious he's taking this fight as he's fought everyone already where does he go from here, this fight means MUCH more to Latimore!

You always look like you know what you're doing, but I have to believe that De Leon Jr winning is wishful thinking on your part! I know Allan Green has a bit of a glass chin and has a little problem with always looking at his feet but they are in a different class. Buddy McGirt's son is not that good, come on think about it. I already know that you are going to say, who has Green fought? Well, I guess only Edison Miranda, and loss, but still a bit of a different class.
Well I hope you are wrong because I'm laying the wood!
Good Luck.

By laying the wood, do you mean betting straight up on a -800 fave? That's not a very good strategy, especially given how long Green's been out of the ring. If you want a chalky bet, there are several better options this weekend (for example, Escalante at -550 is a better deal than Green at -800).

agreed. of all the favorites on the board this week, certainly there is someone safer than Green to "lay the wood" on.
Green probably wins tonight, but De Leon can bang and he is 50 years younger than anyone Green has fought lately. Since losing to Miranda, Green has fought every shot fighter out there. His own personal bum of the month tour. I was beginning to think he would rematch Codrington at this rate.
With that chin of his, I wouldn't feel safe laying on Green.

Good, that's what I wanted to hear, it's always good to get feed back from people that know what they are doing in the fight game.
The only problem is my wager is in, not for much though.
Thanks for the insight fellas.

i wouldnt bet -800 on green......Thats dumb shit....Actually as far as vaule it is a great play......Physically and talent-wise I thought Green is bound for success but after that miranda fight and others i do not know if the guy has any heart in him......To lose to miranda by desicons is riduclous since Miranda aint worth of shit......His power was overhyped and he got lucky in breaking Abrahams jaw....Honestly Leon is a great vaule in those odds....Doubt he wins but out of all the fights Green has been in Leon is his best oppenent faced

Apparently Kirkland is off the Hatton undercard. His replacement is rumored to be none other than Daniel Jacobs, assuming he doesn't get busted up tonight (not that anyone's really worried about that).

Another terrible PPV undercard, BTW. After all the backlash after the Manny/Oscar undercard, they promised that they'd do better next time. This is crazy. Two four-rounders on a $50 PPV? Gross.

I think this intensifies the need for him to get the job done quickly. Before, it looked like a fight for him to get some rounds in (well, maybe 4 or 5). Now it looks like he needs to get him out of there ASAP.

Hey Cee, help me out here! How can De Leon be "great value" when you think he's going to lose? That's actually some dumb shit! Don't tell me you would bet on a guy that you know is going to lose. I can understand if you said something like what A2C said.
GL tonight!
