All plays and units wagered posted 2006 Results (March-July): +19.2 units (+$1,920)
Last Week: +.22 of a unit
2007 to date: +25.23 units (+$2,523)
I know I said I was going to stay away from the fight, but I went ahead and played Calzaghe for a small wager after the Kessler hand injury rumor broke at the beginning of the week. I would find it hard to endorse a large play on either side, this is a tough tough fight to call.
1.45 of a unit on Calzaghe (-145) vs Kessler
I also have Guerrero to beat Honorio and close out last week's parlay.
Parlay 1.5 units to win 1.13 on: Castillo (-1250) vs Perez Povetkin (-600) vs Byrd Miranda (-1000) vs Porras Guerrero (-380) vs Honorio
That's it for now until more odds open, I am very interested to see where the odds are set for Chambers-Brock.

.60 of a unit on Virgil Hill (+425) vs Arslan .40 of a unit on Barashian (+750) vs Ulrich 2 units on over 9.5 rounds (+120) in Vargas-Mayorga
I really like the over in Vargas-Mayorga, it's hard to believe that either guy will have much of a punch at the new contracted weight of 166 lbs. Mayorga was a puncher at 147 and Vargas at 154, neither guy has ever shown legit power north of those weights.
Pending Posted Future Parlay on the final leg.....
.50 of a unit to win 15.98 (With cancellations now to win 5.36) Marquez-Vazquez under 9.5 rounds (-165) Caballero (-750) vs Lacierva Torres (+140) vs Holt Cintron (-1050) vs Feliciano (Canceled) Guerrero (-120) vs Juarez (Canceled) Ouma-Mora over 9.5 rounds (-250) (Canceled) Brahmer (-145) vs Veit Haye-Mormeck under 10.5 rounds (-170)

It was reported on most of the major sites on Monday. They didn't say which hand it was, but rumor has it he has a hurt mitt. Gerbasi at Maxboxing said that he has heard whispers that Kessler hasn't been able to spar for 2-3 weeks in order to protect the hand. Again, it's not fact, but I thought it was worth a wager on Calzaghe who I was favoring a bit, but I am an admitted Calzaghe fan. This is still a very tough fight to bet.

Solid as always Fullbrights. Hands down the best well documented and overall boxing capper I've seen in quite some time
Appreciate it. Just trying to help everyone profit while lining my wallet with some spare change. In my opinion documenting units is the only way to go if you are going to regularly post plays on-line, picks are useless without relative weights.
Any plays this weekend for yourself?

I only put a small wager down on Chambers for now in the hopes of being able to get a decision prop on the fight tomorrow at a much better price. I think Chambers hustles his way to a 8-4 type decision. Brock's only chance here to me is to end this with a big shot and crack Chambers virgin chin, but I am banking it doesn't happen. Brock supposedly is coming in around 240 lbs. which is not a good thing against the quick hands and high activity of Chambers. Brock looked pretty bad in his last bout off-TV getting knocked down by a nobody and has been out hustled in spurts by far lesser fighters than Chambers.
1.90 units on Lopez (-125) vs Harris
I am a little leery of the 8 round distance, I sure wish this was a 10 or 12 rounder so Lopez's aggressive style would have longer to pay dividends, but I am still going to go with who I feel is a much better fighter. A couple of guys that I know on the California scene are high on the Riverside prospect. Doug Fischer wrote today in his Southern California notebook that Lopez has been getting quality southpaw sparring and I have never been impressed with Harris. Harris has always seemed very amateurish to me, I think he is destined to be a regional type of fighter.
I am also looking to play Juarez on the points handicap prop when offered.

I agry on the EC DecProp, if it can be found Fbs. IF not, I'll just side on EC. CAL is a one trick pony. Kinda an impoverished mans Has.Rahman if you will.
I'm leaning towards going against the bad Glove of JoeCal. He's had that problem b4 (vs. Ashiare(sp) if Ginko serves). So I'll side with youthful health here. Just a side, not an outcome Prop.
Like Anderson, but these U.K. fights are odd from time2time. Kinda like the Egyptian Line of kings, too much inter-breading, and you can not distinguish one from another, as they all fight each other in the U.K. & don't step outside of such very often.
Kinda like JMM, I'm more solid on him (vs. the slow starting RJ), than I am on "The Ghost". Will play JMM via a Decision here.
I tend to agry on Lopez, I'll try to mix him in with some VT Props for later 2nite.

You do know that Kessler is actually the one with the rumored hurt glove heading into the fight? I have heard that it may have been almost a month since he was able to spar because he didn't want to risk further injury, supposedly the injury is why he has been MIA for most of the press obligations leading up to the fight.

I think the most live dog in this parlay is Honorio (vs. Guerrero), so hopefully it makes it past that point.
I love Forrest and will have a couple grand in parlays sitting on his head by Dec. 1. He was in great shape against Baldomir. I think his shoulder problems are in the past.

Added:
Anderson -1250
Marquez -375
Guerrero -380
Forrest -750 $500 to win $480

My prayers are with Robert Guerrero and his family following the ESPN article I just read. That has to be very tough circumstances heading into a fight when your wife has just been diagnosed with Leukemia the week before. Now that's a true warrior, I will be pulling hard for him tomorrow night.
