I was avoiding you like the plague heeheehee

I was around for CFL but went out partying Saturday night and didn't get home til about 9 am. Tried to have a tw hour nap and get up for NFL but woke up at about 4....lets say 4:20.


But I hammered CHI Sunday night and then DEN on Monday for about =8 units on those two games to get me up +5.5 on the year for NFL...but took a hoof to the pills last night on the LAMBS so only up about 3 units on the year now...maybe closer to 2-2.5 after I do the official math tomorrow

I'm doing good, have been spending a lot of time with the girlfriend. I don't know if the Penguins will win it all or not. I picked them over the Sharks in the finals. It will be interesting to see how MAF does this season. I just hope they don't run into an extremely red hot goaltender like this past season. Who is your pick to win it all? How have you been? SirBruce, the best Sports Action play (Proline for all you Ontario f*ckers) is the 3-outcome wager on Northern Illinois (38 V @ 1.90) and Ball State (48 H @ 2.00). The best 2-outcome wager is LSU (51 V @ 1.85) and Louisiana Tech (58 H @ 1.85). I'm going LARGE on both of those, as well as playing a few oddset combos with those games included. I love Canadian forums where I can discuss things like sports action lol

Don't do it, man! That's a terrible line. Cleveland has been written off by everyone and look what they did last week to Minny! Cleveland is playing for pride, for their fans against a divisional opponent. On top of that, the public is backing them @ 82%, yet the line has moved from +6 to +4. This is an ugly game. Cincy wins by a FG, and the Cincinnati ATS bets lose, and the Cleveland ML bets lose. This is how Vegas rolls.

Like BOS again this year. Lost Seguin and Ferrance but Dougie has some games under his belt now to help replace Ferrence. And then they swapped Segiun for Erikkson and Iggy which both look good. Iggy looks great on the PP which was horrid for them last year. But with Z firing bombs abd Lucic creating havok in front....Iggy is gonna get some nice loos from the slot.


DET should also be up there in the east now. WAAAYYYY less travel and Stephen Weiss whos a solid player and could have a resurgence on a quality team. And then another talented vet in their lineup with Alfie.


I know ya didn't ask but I've been studying pucks like a crazy man the past few weeks for my FL team and PITTY is the fave but besides them those are my two to come outta the EAST.

Call me crazy but the bruins are deep & I think there going all the way this year.

I like your assessments. They're pretty much the way I see it, other than Detroit. I think their time has passed. They haven't been able to come even close to replacing what Lidstrom brought (obviously) and their core is aging to the point where they're gonna have a hard time keeping up. I see them sqeaking into the playoffs as a 6 or 7 seed, and maybe winning a series.

Personally, I think St Louis is the dark horse this year. If Halak can stay healthy and play to his potential, they've got it all. They have a lot of offensive depth and don't rely on just one line to score. Their defence is pretty scary looking (and Petiangelo is looking like he might have a Norris candidate season). I still scratch my head over that Perron for Paarvi trade, though.

I hope somebody does AND KEEPS doing the pool that Hook'emHorns started last year.

You could bet any 3 games per day you wanted sans live picks. And I was the only one that continued all year and finished well over +30 for the year betting strictly to win 1 unit on faves and risking 1 unit on dogs. The one day there was only BOS playing OTT and I made 3 bets on that game and won 5 units.

Can't wait for pucks to start.....love my FL team too

it's a 7 team league so we all have allstar teams but mine is pretty sick

Yeah STL is great too but I was talking east....DET played the champs pretty toough...add Weiss and Alfie and they'll b vere competitive

And STL has a stacked defense with Shatabrick and Petrelangleololol or however ya spell that.

And then Bouwmeister for a full year and then Ryan Whitney who sucked in EDM but that whole D core was turrible so it's to be expected. Put him as your #4 and he'll excel in that spot.


And also you ain't crazy BOS is gonna be great this year.....I have them against STL,CHI or SJ.....This may be SJ's year.....says everyone for a decade lolol

That's a good looking line up! I think you'd be better off with Seabrook than Franson but that's just my opinion. Good luck     
Just a thought, but wouldn't it a great idea for all of us Canadian covers guys to have a yahoo hockey pool? It might make the forum more lively

Yeah I like Boston too this year too *sghlghhgl* (sorry I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. My PTSD from 2011 is kicking in again.)

One thing about DET this year is that I think their age is not going to be as noticeable because they have not joking took about 30% of their travel away by being in the east.

And I really like Howie in the pipes,kid is legit for serious

C-GUY-25....I can see that with Seabrook but I think Seabrooks name has him ranked a lil higher than he should be and the opposite with Franson. Plus Franson was in a lenghty contract dispute and wanted the 1 year deal and got it. He's a LEAFS fan and wants to be in T.O so I could see him having a great year with a ton of motivation.

Plus I'm a MASSSSSSSSSIVE  LEAFS fan so I'll trade a few points if necessary just so I can root for my boy every night.


Also I think the PP is gonna be huge this year and he racked up about a dozen PP points last year which is a category for our league

He has 4 and 25 last year -4....I think Seabrook was 8 & 12 +8
