If we go by history when Colin K. and his friends started off the protest movement, not too well, as ratings dropped and the viewership also declined. I have played basketball for 30 years with all manner of ethnic minority groups, on the streets, in Jewish Community Centers and in schools, which included blacks, person, Australians and Mexicans mostly. I played on a college team where 5 black guys on my team refused to pass me the ball the WHOLE season while my coach who became a future NBA coach did nothing about it,......let's just say blacks have got it good on the sports field and I have seen plenty of reverse discrimination where coaches and officials favored them over whites, so when someone like the Broncos coach gets jumped on for saying he sees no racism in sports....I truly don't get it, there is more favoritism towards blacks in sports in the USA than there is towards whites.
And to Kylie Irving, whose team conveniently has no chance to win the NBA title this year, say that they shouldn't play to protest...they are on the verge of killing the goose that laid the golden egg.
Onto the USA where a myriad of athletes have now tested positive for covid-19. They will recover and pass on their immunity to the rest of the immediate population, in actuality you would want the youngest and strongest people contracting the virus so that they could recover and develop immunity and pass that on......the same with any flu that happens every year.
The population are now contracting the virus after governments have given up on the lockdown idea because the finances of governments can't outwait or outwit an infectious disease.
"Hiding" from the virus from lockdown just delayed what would surely happen..... that most of the population would contract the virus or be exposed to it, most would have no symptoms (and not be tested unless mandated to) and at a certain stage herd immunity would happen.
Billions of dollars spent to delay the inevitable.

Death rate percentage for young people getting covid-19 is similar to those contracting influenza.
Those football players and university students that contract the virus will recover and pass the immunity on to the general population.
However, it is pie-in-the-sky thinking that no football players will contract the virus during the football season, as the NFL has plainly stated....and GOOD FOR THEM. And, it is incorrect thinking backed by statistics that this will cause a life threatening situation to anyone playing football. IT IS LIKE THE FLU. Now, coaches, who have let their physical fitness go,...yes, that could be an issue for them.
However, hiding from the virus hasn't kept people from getting the illness, so the days of hiding from it and bunkering down inside a house should be laid to rest. Do things that benefit your lungs and immune system to make them strong and live your life.
I did go to the cfl site and clicked on the schedule and there's a little write up before the schedule . doesn't matter to me if the cfl starts late and that way maybe there may be cfl games other than sunday to watch and nfl on sunday , nascar's going down hill if they want to make it they need to race on sat or sat night's. I do wonder what these people who make a living on betting what are they betting on now I'm sure they were doing baseball -B-Ball and football. Maybe there playing poker.
Maybe, though being good at poker and being good at sports betting is mutually exclusive.
We'll have sports galore in 3 weeks, unless people panic when one or two of the players tests positive for covid-19.

Hey Spot, so far things have gone well in north america. Lots of players have tested positive which will mean they'll be good to go by September.
From what I can gather from speaking to a medical guy on the front lines, they've eliminated respirators from treatment protocol for those who have the most severe symptoms, which has increased the survival rate dramatically. He admitted that respirators, rather than save anyone, was basically killing them. As with all things, there is a learning curve in how to become proficient and an expert.
It was interesting in Oregon, that the governor's mandate of no football in Oregon in September was overturned by court order. Wonder who has the ultimate authority to make those decisions.
Read that in Africa there is a herb, originally imported from China that has a good success rate in treating covid-19, at least by the promoter. We'll see if the medical machine ever lets something like that get to testing....and the president of Madagascar, who is promoting it has accused the WHO of offering him a 20 million dollar bribe to not put it out to the world, which he refused. With a vaccine worth billions, I suppose 20 million is just a drop in the bucket.
The person in charge of the covid-19 crisis for the USA government has had the whistle blown on her by people in the DoD for falsifying research data in trying to get a HIV vaccine to market....they got millions from the government for doing the research.

Watched a video where a woman was talking through the "protocol of getting virus tested in Florida...a series of 5 tests, she said.
The number of positive tests equals how many people have a positive test,...in other words, if that one person has 4 positive tests, that is considered 4 people testing positive for covid-19.
I'd say that is probably contributing to a high number of percentage of people testing positive in Florida.
So, the CFL is cancelled this year...wonder if the CFL and all of its teams will survive a one year layoff.
The virus thing itself has dissipated and once the USA elections are over, it will become evident to most, including the decision makers of countries that this is similar to a flu epidemic. By the end of the year, the considered threat will largely be finished.
Sweden, who didn't lock down, now has hardly any covid-19 cases, as herd immunity (whoever heard of THAT before the beginning of this year?) has happened there.
I predict, and would bet that HCQ becomes readily available as a prophylactic and early treatment, as it is available over the counter in many countries, with the exception of Australia and the USA.
