30-21 ATS
Got a copy of Biff's Almanac on an ebay auction...he's tired of making millions every year and has decided to pass it on to a worthy successor.
I am on the road to riches, unless this some kind of internet scam.
Biff wouldn't do that would he?
Could be the last week I consider playing the CFL this year, as the playoffs were crushing to my bankrolls last year....and made a promise to myself that I wouldn't get involved.
Calgary -10 Saskatchewan
"Need to win" teams are usually fades in the NFL late season as teams that don't care as much play relaxed and well and pressure gets to those that have win to make the playoffs. If they "have to" it means they were not elite to begin with. I like everything about the Sasquatches except for Duron Carter, and perhaps they've seen the light and will dump him now that he has given them a public reason to do so. What a diva!...and not a very good football player. I'm liking this team into the future, just not this week as I don't expect the Stamps to shut too many players down just yet.
I expect Glenn to get the start, put up <=7 points in the first half and then Bridge will be called upon to get them going in the second half.....harder to do so on the road against the best defense in the league.
Biff's Sports Almanac shows a photo of Bo Levi throwing 4 TD passes and kicking all four extra points.
Play 1) Stamps 28 Riders 10.
Lions -2 Eskimos
Hard to like either of these two teams as they have been sinking like a stone the second half of the season. Can not back Jennings under any circumstances, and it's hard to get a read on what exactly will be the Eskimos mindset going into this game.....do they tank the last two games to set themselves up for playing in a crossover scenario? I'd be thinking about that. Lions condition is pretty dire, because they flat-out give the other team games.
No-play
Argos -1 Bombers
Argos would very much like to get home field advantage in the East, whereas the Bombers have wrapped up and playoff spot and have beaten the third place team, the Eskimos twice, so I am assuming that means they've clinched second place....however in reading the playoff scenarios it says in the cfl.ca playoff scenarios page that the Blue Bombers clinch a home playoff game with a win.....I would have thought they already would have clinched it.
Both teams have an equal amount of motivation for this game...I am taking the superior western division versus the east in this game....
Play 2) Bombers 31 Argonauts 22
And last and least....we come to the Als....we could have called this the toilet bowl a month ago, but to their credit Hamilton has scraped themselves off the bottom of the league and played respectably under June Junes. If Jones returns next season they will be a play-on team next year.
And can anyone back the Als now?....I don't see one redeeming quality in them.
In the stock market, they say "don't try to catch a falling knife"
Exactly.
Play 3) Tiger Cats 31 Als 14
