Yes. They are not shooting well from 3 right now and CC is forcing everything, leading to turnovers.
1stQ intermission and UCONN up 19 - 14 but they are NOT dominant......Hawkeyes turning over the ball is on THEM (Iowa), not great play from UCONN! THAT can be cleaned up and usually levels out.....Iowa is in it for sure folks! ....right now available for +1.5 but I am still waiting for more info on level of play and the possible injury to UCONS guard Muhl.....watch that!!!
Paige Bueckers a little off early is of NO CONCERN WHATSOEVER.....Clark has done that in previous games too (including tonight) and rebounds with over 30+ pts....

@Skanless1
So far...... and it is a concern ....but watching these Hawkeye ladies frquently this year, I can say, they hit just a couple and momentum swings and they are off the the races! ....lots of time.....the score doesn't concern me yet....

Well, I am feeling a bit fortunate that my gameplan tonight was "wait-n-see" rather than go with the team I had circled as the ML winner (IOWA).....but Clark is looking listless and MAJOR turnover problems this late into the 1H is unusual for them.....now down 9 pts with 6 mins to go.....Luckily for IOWA is UCONN's superstar (Bueckers) is also experiencing a poor start!

OMG! this is bad.
HAWKEYES playing VERY POORLY!!
Down 10 late 2Q and except for Stuelke the whole team is either turning over the ball OR failing to finish layups and wide open 3's (just 2 of 11)
No significant diff on boards or FTs but turnovers?!?!?!?!? YUCK! Iowa still lucky in one respect as UCONN's star is not lighting it up either....

A big part of my game has been with studying the boxscore metrics.
So far,
• Steals heavily favor UCONN (these are part of what I call "intensity" metrics) while IOWA has a slight edge in rebounding.
• FOULS? could be a concern for UCONN, if a couple of their starters pick up a 3rd foul by mid-3Q or even a 4th by early 4thQ....Iowa not having any issues with fouls!
• ailing players? both teams have a starting guard who tweaked a leg.... watch closely, although it would hurt UCONN more if the injury gets aggravated!
• Sloppy play (turnovers) is definitely against IOWA!
• each team has score ONE FT so NSD there...
• Iowa's game is always from the arc and they are only 3 of 14. Concern!
• HT lockerroom momentum? edge to IOWA now as they overcame a 12 pt deficit to trim it to just 6

CC ain't going 0-6 from downtown no matter what..
All those UConn fouls are Adding up .I say OP agrees that Iowa is 2nd half play..they CAN'T play any worse..
But they can definitely be Out coached by Geno

Maybe. *IF* they can hit a couple 3's early, then HUGE MOMENTUM shift and *THEN* many more shots will hit too! That's just their usual m.o. They need to come out like gangbusters!
Mind you UCONNS coach Aureima is no stranger to all this. He will have his team prepared for a potential momentum shift, OR they will retake it themselves and cruise to a win.......so much can depend on next 3 or 4 mins into 3Q..... Is that along the lines what you were thinking too?

@DrGame
Yep, gotta watch the fouls for sure......
UCONN up 4 pts mid 3Q, so Iowa has trimmed off another 2.....

Well, there's one.....as UCONN's Arnold hit with her 3rd right at mid-3Q ....she will sit the next 5.....#2 scorer in thee game....
IF IOWA now hits a couple 3's UCONN in trouble!

BIG momentum shift to IOWA!! ....TIED at 45 now late 3Q, after playing shitty and being down 10 late 1H.....HUGE MOMENTUM shift! ....fouls an issue for UCONN but not, Iowa!......Hawkeyes big center Stuelke playing VERY WELL! ....turnovers now almost EVEN!!!.... Clark stepping back into the game and lighting it up! Live bet:
HAWKEYES -280 *Best Bet 2u

Now tied at 27 for a timeout.....IOWA has to sub for Martin - a key player for Hawkeyes.....she should be ok, but Muhl for UCONN is a concern!
