Uconn is laying 8.5 in the elite 8. Please don’t be a sheep and believe all of the manufactured hype.
Yes they are dominating teams at an insane clip but I think it’s more of other team just eventually giving up. 
Illinois will match up with them in reality this is 4/4.5 spread please do not fall for this

When was the last time UConn was tested? It’s been nothing but pats on the back for those guys. Let’s see what happens in a dog fight and when they are trading for a full game.

 They have been spanking teams all year, good and bad teams. Why would it stop now vs a big ten team in Illinois. Illinois lost to Marquette at home by 7, uconn destroyed Marquette at home and won by 7 at Marquette. I can't see Illinois staying within single digits. But I guess anything can happen.

The goal of oddsmakers its to try to get close to 50-50 action and collect the vig/juice

If they put out -4.5 they would have heavily lopsided action on uconn...they prefer to avoid that

 they won the championship last year and won every game by DD though - probably a relevant stat despite crossing seasons, it is in the culture right now to just get it to 5 then get it to 10 then get it to 15 and put teams away - lot of the same guys.  Fading UConn is an interesting move given their current form

UNC was 8-0 ats in the tourney.. and lost 

UConn played San Diego in the championship last year..

Guess I should clarify. I meant 50% (equal split betting) would be juice profit only for the books. With the huge worldwide money on these remaining games, I feel they want more if they can get away with it. Hence, sucker you with funky lines.
