Yeah I agree, its def whether or not Maryland gets their points or not. I think they are able to though, with playing in front of the home crowd and playing at Carolinas tempo. I think they hit shots and this game ends up in the 180's to 190's.

Gwarner, I'll assume you're calling me an idiot since today I'm backing UNC. You responded to my thread 3 days ago when I said fade UNC and take the 20 pts. and NCSTATE. You disagreed, and that's okay, we can't always be right. I may be wrong today, and that's also OK. Do not call me, or anyone else an idiot, because they back a certain team. I'll guarantee, I don't win all the time, but I win more than I lose, otherwise I would not have the audacity to even write in these threads. Ahhhh, just went against the cardinal rule of gambling: bet with your head, not with your heart. Took a small play on Terps moneyline. Ohhhh well, gonna go get a 12 pack and get hammered for this one, might be the only way to watch it, its probably gonna get ugly but we'll see!!! Got a larger play on the over though. If you're going to bet the ML, take it as a HTDOG. In this case, the reward outweighs the risk. And you hopefully covered your ass with the over. Have to take some chances every now and then...

Mrrusso......ok, I've heard enough. Gary pawns Roy all day long. Roy wins games becuase he gets really good players PERIOD. Gary does far more with less. It has nothing to do with who wins when they play SU. It has to do with the talent Roy has, how they perform when they need to be COACHED and cannot just win becuase they have superior talent. Big difference. I'd take Gary EVERY time if they had equalt talent. In fact, I'd take Gary EVERY time if Roy had just better talent.
Anyone who knows basketball knows Roy can sell his ass off and get McD's All Americans....but his ability ends right there. As an example, IF he could teach ANY defense at all, this group never gets beat.....but he can't!

believe it or not, i wasn't referring to you. I just can't get over how it's the same stuff every day it seems. Started with LOU/UCLA/GONZ last thursday then Villanova the next night and it never stops. I just got frustrated with some of the responses and then all the OU threads where either you side with vegas or you lay off. I did it on Tuesday with the Purdue game, and this line is so off that it means Texas or NO play yet 85% of this site is on OU.

as I said I am a Heels fans and never feel safe vs. the turtles, but I always have to defend the Heels a little. Its really hard to lay D ALL DAY. its like the high scoring teams in football, if you score all the time, you cant be expected to stop everyone all day as well. Roy may not be a defensive minded guy, but in small situations in the game, Roy draws up great plays. He has been running the same inbounds alley-opp play since his KU days and people still can't stop it. Yes, his best attribute is finding talent and has never been at a school thats hard to sell. GL today and I know its going to be a great tough game as always.
