Definately not going to Detroit but had a great time in Memphis this past weekend.  Damn, I didn't fully grasp that bball fans partied so hard until I got to Beale St.

I get there Friday night and if your trying to get tickets I would suggest somewhere on the Risers they offer the best view and price.  Definately hitting up MGM Grand once I get there.

Well the ticket I was banking on has shot up a shitload on E-Bay.  I think i'm still going up with no ticket.  I have a place to stay, so hopefully there are some bars I can walk to if I don't get a ticket.

I'm from detroit but i go 2 michigan state. The party is here at msu i'll be gettin ass the hell with going to the game come up 2 east lansing

Hockeytown bar...2 minute walk to Ford field...great atmosphere, good food, reasonable drinks.

Cheli's Chili (Chris Chelios' bar) is also a great spot minutes from the stadium.

I will be at Hockeytown most likely on Sat, boozin at the 2nd floor bar. $3 pints of HIGH LIFE...can't beat pounding pints, then stumbling over to Ford Field for some excellent hoops action.

2nd floor bar...the place will look packed (and hey it might just be) but even for Lions games and Tigers headliner games there are usually spots at the 2nd floor bar (There are 4 floors, and an outdoor patio). They will tell you half hour for table or shove you in the back room (nice room to walk through if you've never been though!)

If you can't get a table, walk to the left and up the stairs. There is normally always seats at the 2nd floor bar.  Hopefully my ass will be in one

Check out Greek Town .........Your best bet for a party.  If you want a nice / clean atmosphere I like MGM (nice buffet), although don't forget ........it's not Vegas..... so break out your wallet when the cocktail waitress arrives!

Bar to watch game: Depends who you are rooting for,, the Detroit news published there will be certain bars entertaning certain fans...
 
hockeytown is for uconn, chelli's is for sparty, detroit beer co is for unc, and nova has some bar i have never been to that i heard is alright.
 
hockey town and cheli's most convenient to stadium, and will have most ass there at those two.

Packed and leaving in 7 hours after school.  Still don't have a ticket.  I'm hoping to scalp something when I get there. If anyone finds or has any tickets, send me a PM and leave me your info and I'll contact you.
If not, I'll be drinking at some bar by myself while my "friends" are inside Ford Field.
Good luck this weekend everyone and let's close out the season with some cash

hockey town cafe baby! Good to watch a wings game at! :) espically when playoffs and cup finals is in town.
 
fyi- rattle snake is nice  place but very upscale 4=5 star type palce. everything is ala carte and 40-60 a steak and meal.

Hot spots are- hockeytown  cafe/bar, blue night club down street, mgm casino, greektown has lot sof bars plus casino, motor city. Oh Bazoukis strip club literally across street form greektown and 1/4 mile from ford field! If u ahev transportation and drive 20-25 mina way on 8 mile home of slim shady LOl there are like dozen strip clubs. lol

I heard reports that riot patrol form all voer michigan comign to east lansing and lansign area to make sure  what happeend in 99 does not happen if msu wins ro lsoes this weekend. LOL
 
In case u do nto rememebr I was there witnessing it with my own eyes in 99 afetr duke beat msu in final 4 they rioted for seemed like 8 hours burnign couches, people climbing on roof of taco bell(lol), cras being flipepd voer, fires, streakers(men and woman), windows beign busted out of stores, etc. was insane and we lsot. LOL  The next year when flintstones won the title voer prison boy teddy dupay, white chocolate and udonis haslem and gators they were prepared. I was in indy for game so was not in el.

Don't mean to interrup; just noticed the caption "Heaven on Earth"? That would be "Blue Heaven" aka "The Dean Dome" and it's in Chapel Hill, NC.
