I went to the east regional games and saw Nova down Duke and beat Pitt at the buzzer. One thing I can say is they play very tough defense. On another note, I think they are completely overmatched against UNC. Sure Cunningham is a good and versatile big man but at 6'9 that just won't cut it against Psycho T, Ed Davis, Thompson, Zeller, Green and co on the glass. With the way Lawson has been taking care of the ball I would be shocked if Nova can force him to turn it over. I think UNC is going to be going inside all day long and any signs of foul trouble for Nova bigs and this could be another Tar Heel Stomping.
That Michigan State vs. UConnvicts should be very interesting. MSU with basically a homecourt advantage. To bad I sold my final four tickets because there is nothing I would like to see more than the Tar Heels running the cheating/convicts straight out of the gym

initially i like both fav's however you are right when you say Home court advantage for the Sparty's makes it very interesting!!! Nova well it has been a good run but you guys are about to see the best all around team there is I can't see how Nova keeps this close but who knows I have to look at these games more closely before I make a choice!

See I don't consider Pitt a "big team" sure Dejuan Blair is a beast but as far as height he is not super imposing... it is more his weight. I could see guys like Ed Davis taking rebounds right over his back.
UNC has length and players that can make it hard for guards to get clean shots off. Sure stokes or fisher can knock a 3 down... but it is a little different with Danny Green with a hand in your face etc. I just think they have to much length... and it will show... Oklahoma could not hit anything from downtown... I expect the same from Nova

I have friends from HS who played on both Nova and UNC back in the day and with Reynolds/Cunningham , Ginyard (who is hurt ) and Lawson from the DC area I'll be rooting for a good game ..

I am a Tyler hater. I do think he has more heart as anybody in the league, but he's not good enough to handle players such as Blake Griffin, DeJuan Blair, or Hasheem Thabeet. I was really hoping that Pitt would win to see how he faired against Blair but Pitt didn't get the job done. The way I see it is Thabeet will face off against Hansbrough in the Championship. And I'll say it again but with Thabeet in Griffin's place. Thabeet will OWN Hansbrough, but Lawson will OWN the Huskies. Lawson, Green etc. are the reason if the Tar Heels win the Championship, Hansbrough won't be a factor in that matchup, but will be a factor in the matchup against Nova because like I said, who on Nova can stop Hansbrough?

You are correct that Nova's defense is what has proppeled them to the final four. The best thing that could have happened to them was the scare American put on them in the 1st half of game 1 down by 14 early 2nd half. Since that time they have been tenacious on D.
This game poses them some difficult matchups. They are playing a team actually more athletic then them that shoots 3's better than them, makes FT's better than them actually about even on ft's. Has a great PG, and a slasher and scorer in Ellington a blue chip pro prospect,a banger in Hansboro a solid college player. Size of ther bench and this guy Green is playing lights out as well. As much as I would love to see Nova win I'm going to play NCarolina probably on the ML. Ihave a future bet pending for both of these teams to win the whole thing. So I have something to fall back on in case Nova are drilling their 3's. Which they will have to do because Carolina will hit some 3's, The winner in the 3 pt area wins this game.
NCarolina does not play the 40 minute D that Nova does but when needed clamp down pretty good. That said, I think the line is right on both the points and the 160.5 total. It's early, but at this time, I'd lean toward the Under because of Nova's inability to consistently hit the 3's the past couple of games.

Great gaurd play. Villnova's biggest weakness is lack of size. UNC does not have overwhelming size. This is giong to be closer than alot of people think.
Then again, UNC looks like they are clicking on all cylinders right now. Their defensive rotation to gaurd the 3-point shot yesterday against oklahomo was impressive. If Villanova gets in foul trouble or struggles from 3 point land, they are in trouble and will lose by double digits.
I am going with villanova once the public pumps up the spread to 8 or 8.5.... but don't listen to me, i am having a shitty tournament....best of luck.
