pat, i follow LSU closely as i live 90 miles from Baton Rouge. however i am not a homer as i have made some money betting against the tigers,as i recognized LSU had quit on john brady and he didnt have an answer to shake things up, made more difficult by all the injuries. the tigers were just a flat, uninspired team under brady, who i really think had been satisfied since the final four appearance. butch pierre has a lot of fire and emotion, and i think the young tigers are responding to his leadership. this is not the same tiger team the last two games as we watched the rest of the season. normally, i would think this is a letdown situation for LSU, but coming home to a raucous crowd in the deaf dome after a big win, should have these young tiger cubs pumped up to keep it rolling for their new coach, who i think they are playing for to keep the job for next season. LSU + 2 1/2 or 3, whatever you get.
