Bill Walton is the greatest ! I met him courtside with my son at a nets game when they were still in Jersey. He was a true gentleman and so giving of his time. A gracious man as well. One of the nicest warmest Athletes I have ever met. Longer story don't want to bore every one .

Nice to know he's a good guy in real life. Seems like he'd be cool to have a conversation with.
As an announcer, I agree with the OP and do not care for him at all. It's one thing to be opinionated (nothing wrong with that at all), but to do so with the arrogance he projects over the air (at least to me) I can do without. Especially with the fact he's analysing college players as if they're supposed to already be world-beaters
As a pro player, I thought he was over-rated. Yes, I am old enough to have seen him since he started. Probably would have had a better overall career w/o all the injuries, but I don't believe the "what-ifs" deserve a pass, especially when he's considered (if I recall correctly) one of the 100 best ever. I don't believe his longevity and overall stats are even deserving of HOF. Pretty sure he didn't even reach 10k points and 5k rebounds in his career.
As a UCLA player, he was awesome, dominant, and everything else. I remember nothing but good/great things of him as a CBB player.
Just my opinion, of course. Not trying to pass it off as alt-facts or anything LOL

One time he was talking to some African college player, the guy was from one of the small African countries where the standard of living is actually good, I forget which one- Then Bill Walton says "they have a good quality of life there because they don't have any oil there" meaning America isn't over their trying to control their wealth, resources, and politics.
I was like, Bravo Bill!
Keepin it real!
