have any of you blown through your entire bank roll in a weekend? I started off with 9k on Saturday and only have 300 left. Couple of bad bets, couple of bad beats, play on tilt and kept losing. Just wanted to see if anyone has ever experienced such a massive loss in a short time frame. Not sure if I should just quit altogether or try and make a comeback and build it back up. Welcome any feedback positive or negative but really feel like giving up and becoming a spectator.

Ive been there man. Just be happy you had a bank roll to rip thru and not on credit. Try and look on the bright side. Sometimes time off is a good thing.

Everyone...and I mean EVERYONE ...has been where you are right now..
Many with much bigger bankrolls....
You must sit back and reflect and come to a realization that there is no reason why you can't keep losing...because literally you can...variance is a biatch and you can make wagers that are 80% or 90% good...+EV 8 or 9 times out of 10...and actually lose dozens of those in a row...it can go on for months and in some cases years...
You must take a break...revise and come back with a different plan...in my case, I decided to not play my own plays for an extended period of time.
Cappers can and do get hot and go on runs that can last a very long time..or..they are naturally gifted at capping and can actually maintain a 55% to 60% winning level...extremely rare but it happens...
But even they will go on long runs of losing...just the nature of the beast...
You MUST set strict bankroll management limitations for when you start again...if you don't develop discipline with the smaller wager amounts, you will never have it with larger wager amounts when you bankroll can handle it....
1% to 3% of your bankroll on any single play....
You must understand it is a grind...you may be used to winning large wagers and if you can't gear down...then you need to stop completely until you get your mind right...
Once you can be happy with small winning weeks...then you might be ready to slowly move up...but be careful..its very easy to fall back into bad habits when a "sure thing" stares you in the face...
Remember...in Texas Hold Em poker, the best hand is Ace Ace...and it only wins 80% of the time if all the cards come out...
And....you can't bluff the books...they hold all the algorithms and have the money to crunch them...
PM for the skinny on the down low

I've gone through this many a times and it hurts just as much or more each time it happens Not just with sports betting but gambling in general and some aspects in life, you get to a high point, fall back some and try to get back to where you once were as fast as possible. It might work the first time but more times than not you're in the hole even more. If it does work, the next time trouble hits you think it's can happen again.
I'm not sure if being a spectator here is a good idea.unless you're just talking about sports in general and not on covers. Once you hear everyone thinking some team is a sure winner, it might reel you back in.
I don't have any good advice or else I wouldn't have done it more times than I should have...but just saying I've been there and from what others are saying, we've all been there at one point or another.

Just wanted to say thank you all for your support and words of wisdom. I’m taking a little bit of advice from everyone on this one, play small, play strategically and not chase losses, play one a day, slowly build bank roll. Again thanks everyone, I was pretty depressed and thought about giving up on capping but will bounce back better and stronger.

Sorry to hear about your lost bankroll, man. We have all thrown proper money management techniques out the window before, or tried to win money back..only to keep on losing. Let this be a learning experience if nothing else? What can you do so this doesn't happen again? If you had 9k in your bankroll...and now you have 300. It's safe to guess you weren't just firing off One unit per bet. I try to only bet between 1-3% of my bankroll per wager. It allows for losing streaks..that you will have if you do this long enough. I'm sure this is all crap you've heard or read before.... Some guys aren't content just betting 1unit per play. We can't have you burning through 9 Racks in one night either! gotta find a happy medium in there. Best of luck!

You guys are absolutely right, I threw money management out the window when I caught a cold streak, even worse I was throwing whale bets down on parlays trying to make it back in chunks only to see 2 teams cover and another miss by a point or two. After a while it was just throwing money at anything to try and get a win again. Going to take this week off and then slowly grind. Really appreciate the well wishes, will get it back with everyone’s help.

You also need to take a good look at your betting and make sure that none of your picks are emotional.
For instance---last night I was up $725 on the day so I said F it and picked the Rams for $500. I'm honestly not surprised that they lost but I hate the Patriots and wanted to get a piece of it if the Rams won.
This is throwing money away and not a good strategy, but I'm ok with that pick---it was an entertainment pick instead of a "capper's pick."
Don't spend money you aren't willing to lose on picks that don't pass all your internal strategy checks.
Good luck.

Certainly happens. Just dust off and try again.

Thanks again, good to see I have a support system here from those that have experienced the same thing. Took a long time to build that roll but will more disciplined in my approach this time around. Not sure why I felt like I had something to prove to myself by slinging absurd bets.

Discipline. Thats my main thing this year. used to do 30-40 bets a week. Since the new year just been doing about 5-7 a week. All the SAME AMOUNT. Thats where I used to get hurt, go down early in the week then betting large amounts to try and get out or go up big early and betting larger to try and win bigger...so dumb. Its all about streaks. Pick 1 game you like a day and roll with it win or lose. The bank roll will build itself

you want a huge tip cap the game then do a live bet but only bet after the second half has started. You might pay a little extra juice on the moneyline or u can make a good guess if a team is going to cover the spread or not.

Player X as he is referred to in Vegas won $25 Million last year from the Astros winning the WS in 2017 to the Eagles winning the SB....I highly doubt that the Rams loss is making him lose sleep.
Mayweather bet 450000 on
