That is what ALL the EAST COAST writers and NCAAB experts never want to admit.....You had it exactly RIGHT....You can't play on Monday on the East Coast then show up on the West Coast and think you can play a team that got ICED from the Big Tourney.
I watch the West coast teams try to do this all the time...Even try to play a SAT morning game..for TV, then get beat so you ALL think west coast can't compete.. Well...Georgia Tech now knows better!
One of the big disadvantages the west has in most conferences, when they travel in schedule...they are going long distances and and not to major airports...all the time.
The PAC 12 is BRUTAL... From the far northwest Coast to Southern AZ,Tucson then Home then to the Pacific Ocean then back home then into the Rockie Mountains.... I know 2 things: Not-one the PAC12 has 4 away(nearly half) their road games within 1 hour drives from each other..like ACC NC teams.. Worst of ALL they only play Neutral or home games when they schedule a team in preseason...
I think a great tourney for the ACC vs PAC 12....Let them play alternating games back to back home and away....Instead of the BIG 10 Challenge. Let's see if those boys can travel! Then seed them like the PAC 12 or the Big E was seeded...NOT give 6 of 7 seeds in the ACC gifts as 3 point FAV in every game in round 1.....Gee I don't think ND would have been a 3 point FAV vs Wichita? now would they have been..?
Creighton had to play in the Utah rockies and most were surprised... I have to CRINGE when I heard folks on TV say the Games in Anaheim were like a home game for Oregon....> they must tweekers in NYC..its nearly 900 miles away.... Nova is closer to home in Louisville.
With all this said..... I 'll take Mia FLa +4 vs NOVA 1) Nuetral NOT @ home this week Mia FLa was 3rd ACC plays just as good AWAY as at home.. Nova was home ALL week played well on a semi home court for the 6 and 7th time this year...jumped out on top and shot 52% for threes. against Iowa who was on an inconsistent TAIL SPIN for over 6 weeks after losing to Indiana..Feb12th. 2) SIZE matters Nova plays small ball, lots of teams are not built to defend that...I but like the 4 guard match-up and the Big for Miami is better. Newton will be the best player on the floor! 3) Mia went up by 20 in 1st half against a top ten Wichita..team... who came in HOT but was cooled off 4-22....from threes..when u.live by 3, u often die by 3....( much like Indiana) 4) Match-ups Mia beat Butler Neutral by 10 and Utah (#2 in PAC 12) by 24, on Neutral court... NOVA beat Butler by 10 @ home 5 on road and Stanford( 8th inPAC12) by 9 @ semi home game.
The more I write the more I like Mia Fla to WIN straight up...but of course.....NOVA is an the East coast... so I better stop and come to my senses..before I forget.....Its not who is the best...its who gets the money!
