Play of Day for Thurs 2/6/14:

SMU -14.. $$$$$ The moody center has been a house of horrors for visiting teams, Coach Larry Brown has his kids firing on all cylinders and riding high after huge rout of Memphis, Philly's own Temple comes to town fresh off a lackluster effort in Big 5 title tilt against Nova,  Temple can score points but that's about all, if their shots fail to fall at a decent clip they will be crushed by a much more superior group, SMU by 20 here...

Interesting buddy. I backed smu -7 versus south Florida last week and got burned. Is this the game they blow their opponent out? Cus I thought last game was supposed to be a blow out

Saw smu played and they suck big time. Even a good high school team can beat this team... There are better games out there...just my opinion.

I understand the concern but they had a big time letdown brfore the Memphis game, look ahead factor but st home they play tough which is a proven fact and temple has one element to their game and that is they have several guys that can score buckets but SMU has the edge on the glass and defensively as Temple plays zero D hence why their record is so bad, if Temple Peppers and company struggle against the press and can't find a rythem they will have trouble staying close, I understand its hard yo back a team that burned you before but they covered a lot of games in 
 a row they were due to miss like all teams do, its just my opinion and a game I'm going to play, you can watch and root along, I certainly don't want anyone to follow who doesn't think its a good play, its hard for me not yo play a game just because they had a bad outing 2 games ago or someone thinks they suck, I'm locked in and will hopefully be right..

Hey buddy that's whaT I'm thinking. Must have been why the line was so low for the south Florida game. Cus I watched that game and smu wasn't bring the defensive intensity although they are offensively challenged at times it's their defense that really makes them go IMO. Just my 2 cents good luck my friend I hope it cashes for you

I THINK THIS IS A LET DOWN GAME FOR SMU AFTER THAT THROTTLING THEY GAVE MEMPHIS...

TEMPLE RECORD WISE IS NOT A GOOD TEAM, HOWEVER MOST OF THEIR GAMES HAVE BEEN CLOSE... THEY HAVE SOME SOLID PLAYERS, AND I REALLY FEEL THEY STAY WITHIN THE NUMBER AND LOSE BY 8-9

Typically let downs are much stronger in spots where teams are coming off a huge win compared to look ahead spots.  So you're acknowledging a bad look ahead spot last week but you're betting right into a bad let down spot?  And if you think they are prone to look ahead spots only, you may wanna check and see who they're playing in 2 days.  This is a crazy sandwich spot.

Dayton played lights out yesterday and they definitely the better team, its hard at times to predict which team will show up from game to game, and I normally like taking dogs when the points are double digit but temple has only one facit to their game where SMU has multiple ways to get to the cover, can't trust temple off disappointing blowout at home to Nova and going into a tough venue against a Philadelphia familiar coach who will have his team ready.

temple first half is the play here. +7 temple is 8-9-1 overall ATS. they are 13-4-1 in the FIRST HALF!!!!!! they have covered 6 out of 7 first halfs in a row.

the only reason why I know anything about temple is because I am from philly. they are an ok 6-14, its hard to understand what that means, but they play hard and have some decent players but when it comes to closing time they don't have that closer like they did with wyatt. They have nobody, it will be a close cover. if smu is up by more then 10 at half I cant see temple covering this game. no play for me, just the first half.

This isn't about Team A being better than Team B.  I'm betting that SMU doesnt give a flying fock about this game.  They just beat Memphis and have their game of the year on deck in 2 days.  They will show up with zero energy and zero motivation.  My money says they do not play no where near their full potential.

SMU has not been decent in forever and I think regardless of sandwich game they have more motivation than a sorry temple squad that had to travel 1,000 miles from home fresh off discouraging loss to a rival who can only cover if their offense is running on all cylinders, in what seems like a question of a team that is supposedly gonna come out soft and looking ahead or a team that is flat and one dimensional I think I like my chances but I understand the thought process, not enough intangables to fade the host here.

Temple is playing the team that just beat Memphis.  Their playing the team that has a 17-5 record and is one game away from breaking into the top 25.  I think there's enough excitement there.  It's still gambling though, we'll see what happens.
