It is not about anyone will die ...it is about the COVID protocol will ruin it. If there are too many teams got hit with COVID protocol, game will be canceled, the tournament will become meaningless.

I see there are quite a few in here very skeptical about the vaccine and think COVID is fake. My brother in law got COVID and he was hospitalize for 2 weeks until now. He is recovering but he has a very tough time.

As someone who almost died in oct 2018 from a major fluid build up in my body( on 8 meds) but doing well now, I will gladly take the vaccine...

My buddy is a nursing administrator at a hospital in Baltimore.

You don't want Covid...

Not in America, it isn't...It is in Spain where I live 6 months outta the year...It's not the END OF THE WORLD there, and nobody complains about wearing a mask during a pandemic..

 I'm sure when I'm on social security I'll agree with you. I'm happy you enjoy sitting home watching TV. If people want to that, then I want them doing that. If you're scared or at risk - stay home. I'd gladly waive my right to medical care, as with 99.9% of young people I am not at risk. People are done with the one size fits all approach. It hasn't worked. If you want to lock yourself in your house - your choice. If you want to live your life and go out - your choice. Pretty simple.

Athletes at the Tokyo Olympics will not need a vaccine to participate, organizers say

Athletes and officials will not be required to receive a Covid-19 vaccine in order to take part in this year's Tokyo Games, organizers announced on Wednesday.

It comes as the International Olympic Committee (IOC) published its first version of the Tokyo 2020 "Playbook" which outlines the rules and safety regulations that will be put in place later this year.
 
Whilst not a prerequisite to participation, the IOC said it would still encourage and assist individual countries to vaccinate their teams ahead of arrival.
