Osiris, I'm a Duke fan. Its nice to hear someone who is not a Duke fan talk with knowledge of bball. Most of the Duke haters have no clue about bball. What Duke has done from 85-04 is simply remarkable. They are also 30-3 in the ACC tourny since 99. That is an unbelievable stat IMO. I'm not saying Duke is a lock to win anything. If Zoubek continues to play well they have a good as chance as anyone. For anyone to say they are overrated is a complete moron. If anyone was overrated it was Uconn and UNC.

 

And by the way, to all you dummies who say they cant win on the road. Almost every team in the nation losses are on the road. The majority anyway.

If anyone didn't know, Osirus also bases Ville WHOLE YR on that Cincy game. The 2 games they beat Cuse were just "luck" for closing of a building and Cuse had a bad game @ H.

But you got that ACC tourney locked down again. Beating no seed higher than a 7.

Losing on the road is one thing

5-5 is just flat out average.

And don't even try to put me just in the hater category. I wrote an essay and made my biggest bet of the yr and gave the EXACT WAY Nova would beat the crap out of them LY.

Most know that except for kids who came in this yr once their Pukies had a better shot. You got the weakest 2 Seed, you aren't better than Cuse, and WVU and OSU deserved it more.

But enjoy this Great Seed, and your Conf title. Only things you can win lately.

That 06 team had one of Cuses best recruiting classes
mccrosky, Watkins, Nichols, T.Roberts along with GMac and Devendorf. How can you say they werent as good? they had all the talent in the world, something JB couldnt seem to get out of them.
they underachieved bigtime. .
the 04 team had all those guys plus warrick and pace from the 03 champ. team. granted they did make the 16.
the 05 team same guys shouldve never lost to fricking vermont.
JB has never been the best motivator

04 and 05 shouldnt have lost when they did but 06 was a 5 or 6 seed i think losing to texam. This team is far better than the 2006 team. Either way those games have no bearing on this team. This team is as talented as the natl title team. Obviously no carmelo.  They have come along way since that loss to the d2 team lol.

It only takes 1 game to get into fould trouble.

Have the talent? YES

Very slim though.

I think they fall into the Cincy level back when K-Mart got hurt. They were the best until the injury.

O might come back, and if he's close ot 100%, yeah, Final 4, but I just don't see it happening anymore.

Agree,  and that DII team was cross town LeMoyne College. lol
I almost went there to play LAX. I played bball with their coach growing,Steve Evans, he was a dick lol.
anyway yeah this team does have the talent but theyre stupid sometimes as well , Esp jackson and jardine. and now with AO out we're thin. JB only plays 7 guys and we're down to 6.
Frosh C D.Riley may see some time if Jackson gets in foul trouble , but hes young and inexperienced and in the trny JB rarely goes and deeper on that bench. If he can get by with 6 he will and that wont cut it imo.

So what exactly are you thinking with arinze? Just 2 games out or more. Obviously vermont doesnt matter and i truly dont see gonzaga or fsu winning even if he sits. Than in the swt 16 you get either butler/utep/murrayst/vandy (whoever comes out of that mess, i like butler). Than maybe kansas st in the elite 8 which is tough

I am not a duke fan!! Never have been. I just think they have a good team, better than most think. I hate unc because there fans are fucking morons and horrible.

so gotta hope we can get by 2nd rnd without him somehow.
theyll need a big game from Jackson underneath.
 Rautins, Johnson, Jardine and K.Joseph all  had big games vs Gtwn and they still lost.
I feel better about their sweet16 matchup (if they can get there) than against Gonz or FSU.

Now in that gtown loss they were very sloppy with the turnovers and would have probably lost anyways with arinze. In fact he got hurt after they fell behind and were playing bad

duke wins with good bball and its hard not to hate them
 i think most people hate them because vitale has made it his goal in life to praise them exclusively.
but
I hate Kansas, mostly because I was at the 1996 Reg Final in Denver when Cuse beat them to go to the Final 4. Their fans were all assholes. Man was that '03 championship sweet .
