When you win your conference tournament at the END of the year… how is that too EARLY?
@concavecapital
They went 9-1 last 10 games..including winning 4 straight in a very tough conference tourney....Hard to sustain....

This is a team that scan score 90 points in a game. They scored 63 this afternoon.
The blatant foul not called was very decisive and I have no doubt the game takes a totally different course if it went the other way.
In saying all this it’s March and my issue with this time of year is people (Officials) think there have to be upsets.
It’s like the saying “Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story”

Iowa was awful today. Wide open 3’s in first half and they went 1-13. Can’t do that for the style they play. Richmond is more a rock fight team and that’s what it turned into. Yeah the no call was bad, but if you’re looking at this and saying Iowa needed that for a chance to tie in with what 1 minute left then they clearly weren’t a better team today.
took em to win my bracket and it’s the only one I’ve missed so far

@HockeyNight11
Absolutely. Iowa had a bad night shooting from the Perimeter to say the least and that was the difference.
The game might have been lost a lot earlier by letting Richmond take the game to that ‘rock fight’ level so to speak.
I also thought Iowa allowed panic to creep into their game which snowballed into an unexpected early exit.
If I could be critical it would have been better if Iowa decided to put the ball on the floor or deep in the paint for those much needed points during the scoring droughts. They kept digging a bigger hole with missed 3s

Only a few times over th3 years have I thought the refs were there to assist a team to victory in the tournament...The last 2 minutes of this game are blatantly obvious ref manipulation was involved ..
Iowa sucked and deserved to lose , but the refs definitely assisted Richmond in the final 2 minutes ...Anyone who disagrees is in delusional denial ..imo

That’s the reason I actually liked Iowa this year is because I thought they weren’t just the one dimensional bombs away team they’ve been in the past. Keegan Murray is best player on the court, but when the guys surrounding you aren’t shooting well it’s tough to get Murray isolated, don’t really have to respect the perimeter as much. Iowa had spurts where they hit a few but couldn’t sustain anything. Just a bad day at the worst time!
