Not a bad idea, believe it or not this kind of thread has been tried many times, some have ben ok, others have just been a shit show...below are a few suggestions I have that may make it a better forum:
1) Disregard units...this do not matter in a "POD" If some asshole says they bet 50 units on Elon and they don't cover the forum consensus would have had a good night, but actually be down units...Just keep it a % thing and people can play their own units if they decide to tail any of these plays.
2) Having everyone in this forum post is going to result in a TON of games, many of which will be the opposite of other plays already listed. You obviously can't prevent people from posting, but you can request that the people that do post either a) have a winning record this year or b) have posted on covers for more than a few months...I think you will get too many random picks from 15 year olds who don;t know shit about college ball
3) Don't spend so much time bumping this thread...it annoys people.
Good idea, just a few of my thoughts from being on this board for over 10 years and I have seen things like this work before, but most fail. I hope this helps you out.
BTW - I like Cal -1 as my POD or whatever.

. The Noles on offense have averaged 79ppg and 49% shooting from the field @ home this season so they are not just winning games with defense they are scoring as well. In the last 9 meetings in this series the Home team has won all 9 games with the home team covering the spread 7 of those games. When I look at Maryland's schedule this season for losses I see a very questionable loss to
