5-5 yesterday with Illinois not making any of their first like 14 three point attempts and not covering by 2, Charleston missing a free throw with 12 seconds left to lose by .5, and Cal losing by .5 point. That's how it goes some days I suppose. Looks like Fizz and I have a "bet off" going as well, I'm trying for loser has to leave forever, we will see if he bites.
Marshall -3
Last regular season game for both squads, which means its Senior Night in Norfolk. ODU covered the first game @ Marshall only losing by 8, and seems that combined with Senior Night has put ALOT (I'm seeing 96%) of the money on ODU. Marshall has the 33rd best 2pt% in the land, and ODU 2pt% defense is 124th. As long as Marshall is able to play something that resembles their usual pace, I don't see how ODU stays in this one.
Siena +3
Wrong team favored in a HUGE game for both teams. Both are 2 games behind Iona for the conference lead with 3 games to play so loser of this one is probably out of contention. In the last matchup, won by Siena, the Saints shot 4/21 from 3. And still won. But the difference for me is Stormo down low, and McCollom outside for Siena. They can't possibly shoot as poorly as they did last time.
Marist/Manhattan Under 131.5
Two anemic offenses gonna battle it out tonight. Both teams strong suits are on the defensive end of the floor, with Marist being 23rd in the country in 2pt% defense. It should be a pretty competitive game. Neither team makes a lot of shots either so defensive rebounding will be critical for under backers.
Seton Hall +1.5
Xavier misses Freemantle tremendously, and going into Newark is not an easy place to come out of with a W. Boum has been excellent, but he needs a "Robin" to his "Batman" and he doesn't have one right now. Seton Hall defends the 3pt line as well as anyone in the country and that's where Xavier likes to operate from. Throw in a road gym, that is likely to be very rowdy tonight, I don't see how The Hall loses.
Wyoming +7.5
Wyoming is finally feeling healthy with getting Hunter Maldanado back a couple games ago. He makes them go on offense. Colorado St doesn't really protect their home court all that well either, losing their last 4 at home, and only being 7-7 on the year in Fort Collins. Maldanado can single handedly keep the Pokes in this one, and I fully expect him to.
Air Force +9.5
The Falcons shoot the ball very, very well. Both inside and out. They just turn the ball over a TON. They lost the first meeting by 34, shooting 14/46 from the field. They got outrebounded 38/17 as well. I can't imagine seeing splits like that again.
GL today all and enjoy the weekend.
