Pick #2  (0-1) so far...$$$$$$ Lakers/Denver Over..212.5...

The Lakers have the absolute worst interior defense I've seen in years...plus they turn the ball over...Denver has the 4th best Over % in the league and in this match-up, the 2 teams are 7/8 over...Kobe's last ride has been plenty of forced shots, bad passes, but the Lakers can score too...there's no reason to play D..and you won't be ever out if they start slow...

I agree with Topflight, the more thoughts even on same game the better.  Sometimes you might get a big follower of that conference that has something to add.   Still up to each individual to make their own decisions.  One of best threads going.

That's exactly what we DON'T want.  You don't want a strong capper to not post his play/perspective on a game just because someone else is on it, and instead post a play they are less confident in.  

There's literally no argument about multiple people being on the same play, so I don't understand your point really.

I think Holmey meant the overall public consensus plays, not the consensus plays in this thread.  Like when people starting crying "COVERS BLOODBATH!!" those plays end up at 50% over time.  Not the consensus plays in here. 

Keeping the records makes things better, because you see 2-3 top guys on the same pick, and you know it's chances of hitting are more likely.  Then you can ignore the nonsense outside the thread, and not worry about who else is on it.

$$$$ Den -7$$$$

The Lakers finally got a win last night and now travel to the Mile High City. Kobe will return tonight but how many minutes will he play. Denver can score in bunches and should take advantage of the altitude and LA playing game 2 of a back to back. I look for Denver to run, run, run and wear the Lakers down. I'm 1-0-1 on the year on my $$$$ picks. If there's an angle I'm overlooking feel free to discuss it.

lol thanks man!  I believe in the concept that setting the tone has a big effect on the atmosphere of this thread, so I try to stay level and not get caught up in anything.  Plus, you guys do a good job of 'taking care of business' anyway!

I agree with all of this.  We wants overlap $$$$'s.  That is a good thing.  If you are looking for 25 plays to tail here every day, then limiting people to individual $$$$'s, but I imagine most people are looking for 2 or 3 tails a day and if you can find some top guys agreeing, those would be ideal, IMO.

Yep.  At one point, I remember, over at CBS I was REALLY encouraging people to post their LOCK as the first thing they do on the thread each day.  I didn't even want people reading the thread before they posted their LOCK because they were getting too influenced by what they read, I thought.

My point is that I want everyone to pay ZERO attention to what other people post when you are posting your $$$$.  Do what you do and don't worry about other's opinions on your $$$$.

Depending on how big of a player you are www.betphoenix.ag is pretty solid too.  Payouts take a couple days but they are always their customer service is great and they will almost always give you a 150% free play bonus on any deposit.  They tend to keep limits on the lower side ($300 max bet usually) so not a good exclusive spot for bigger players.

I just found www.livesports.ag a couple months ago and they actually give a cash match bonus which is something not many places are doing these days.  Also have never had a problem withdrawing from here either

www.betabcislands.ag - another good one....really good ML value both ways at this site...also do a decent bonus....theres a small fee to cash out but it's same day....if you think about what you get for a bonus up front paying a cash out fee is really no big deal.

Hopefully this helps.  My best advice is to have as many betting options as possible and spread your risk.  This will also let you shop around for the best line.....in the long run this is more important than anyone understands.....if you are consistently getting a good line, laying less juice etc you win % and profit margins are going to go up....there is nothing more devastating than losing a bet because you got a shitty line when a win or a push was widely available on the market

My pick of the day and my $$$$ is Oregon -2.5

1.  They can clinch a share of the PAC -12 title with a win
2.  They can get a No. 1 seed in the up coming tournament
3.  They already beat UCLA by 14 points.
4.  Oregon has won 12 games in the conference
5. UCLA has only won 6 games in the conference
6.  Oregon has won the last three games by double digits
7.  Personally I think they are a much better team and they win again by double digits. 
8.  Putting a lot of $$$$ on them.
