Actually wasn't many write ups for Kansas, Seton Hall, or Xavier.. be that's besides the point the point is to help each other and posting a team over and over isn't much help it's like your tryin to convince me to make this pick there's is over 20 games all sports to pick from having the same team multiple times actually keeps people from taking said $$$$ pick (ie Ball st. last night) more games capped is better for the thread than the same team

The thread has a ranking system which USC_Holmey updates daily (extremely diligent - thank you). If the majority of the better cappers on this thread are posting $$$$ plays on the same game, I would think the probability of that one game being a winner would be higher than if every good capper on the thread picked a different game as their $$$$ play for the evening and expecting every one of them to hit.

I think the IPFW win against Wester Illinois last Thursday is a great example of what I said above; it seemed like every good capper on this thread took IPFW and they covered for over 39 minutes.

This is true. I would say that one and Kansas the other night were the most "Consensus-type" play the thread has had so far. Some Top-$$$$'ers agreed and everyone jumped on board.

Do not believe there is anything more to it. A red-hot run is wonderful, but I am sure you all know you can lose 30 units just as fast as you can win 30 units. Even the Elite Eight $$$$'ers will have bad runs. It will probably happen, so don't blindly blow all the cash you have won the last couple weeks.

Really like Pittsburgh tonight. Lots of value already gone as the line has moved from -2.5 to -5 already but believe Pittsburgh wins this one with relative ease.
Pittsburgh has been red hot as of late as they usally are a late-season team. Believe Pittsburgh comes out very focused in this game, even off a blowout at Duke which some could look at a let-down spot. To me it just shows the true potential of this team. Pitt cant afford a loss here if they want to be one of the seven projected ACC teams in the tournament.
Pittsburgh is a well balanced team that should be able to dominate the glass and play good solid defense against a Virginia Tech team that has been shooting lights out as of late. In the last meeting between these two teams you saw VT actually out-rebound Pittsburgh on the defensive end, that should not happen again.
My favorite thing when capping this game that I see is the way Pittsburgh dominated Virginia Tech by 19 in their first meeting. This was before Pittsburgh went on this late-season run so thats the first thing that stands out to me. The biggest thing though is In that game Virginia Tech played as good of a game as you could expect. They shot 51% from three (11-21) (compared to Pittsburghs 32%), made more free throws, and only shot 7% less than Pittsburgh from the field in the game. Pittsburgh won the game by 19 despite Virginia Tech playing as well as they did.
I see no reason why Pittsburgh doesn't win by about ten or more in this one. I see a lot of value here with Pittsburgh despite the rise in the line. Best of luck!

Tech (7PM ET ESPN3) – Back with a $$$$ play after a couple days off and it's one of our biggest plays of the week as the Virginia Tech Hokies take on
the Pittsburgh Panthers at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg. We have been harping on the in season home
revenge angle the last few weeks ago as it’s prominent in many matchups the
last couple weeks of February and it applies yet again here as the Hokies look
to avenge a 19 point loss to Pitt in the Steel City a month ago. It’s easy to look at that result and say
Virginia Tech was totally overmatched but the Hokies are another example of a
team in rebuilding mode under Buzz Williams that is leaps and bounds better
than they were at the outset of the season.
We have seen raw ability out of this team all year as the Hokies have a
signature win over in state rivals Virginia and a nice non-conference win over
UAB to their credit but positive effort has been far more consistent of late
and it’s translated into wins in four of the Hokies last six games including
three in a row with two of those wins coming on the road. Virginia Tech has home wins over NC State, Wake
Forest, Clemson and Florida State so far this season, all teams comparable to
this Pitt team and of course a monster win over a Virginia team that has
emerged as one of the best teams in the entire country. In addition to Virginia Tech looking for
revenge against Pitt after being trashed by them earlier in the season, we also
have Pitt in a big time let down spot after notching a season defining win over
the weekend at home against Duke. Pitt
is still a bubble team but the result against Duke takes a ton of pressure off
the Panthers and because of that we wouldn’t be surprised to see a bit of complacency
out of them in a mid-week road game against a team they probably feel like they
should walk to a win against. If we look
at what Virginia Tech has done at home thus far in conference play the results
are extremely impressive and makes the Hokies exceptional value tonight. Virginia Tech knocked off NC State, Virginia
and Wake Forest in their first three ACC home games, followed it up with back
to back hard fought home losses by 5 to North Carolina and by 9 to Louisville
and have won both their home games since over Clemson and Florida State. This number has climbed as high as +5.5
places now and the only ACC home game where the Hokies wouldn’t have covered
this number was against a very good Louisville team that hit all the necessary foul
shots to close out a game that was close throughout. It’s also important to note the Hokies did
cover the number against Louisville in that game and have covered the spread in
every single ACC home game so far this season.
Virginia Tech is a young team with a very good, proven coach in the
midst of a rebuilding process so we are less concerned with their record and
the season totals here and more concerned with how the Hokies are playing right
now. Three wins in a row has the Hokies
riding high and in spite of a very compelling fact that the Hokies are perfect
in conference home games against the spread the public is pounding on
Pittsburgh money line so hard it’s moving the number and creating amazing line
value on the Hokies. Take the points

People agreeing is good, IMO. Especially if they have a $$$$ record of 7-1, 11-4, or 9-3. I'd rather tail a play that the #2, #4, #7 $$$$'er agree on than a plays that they all disagree on.
You might show weekly results on heavily played picks...I'd be shocked to see it at 50% as you suggested on page 2 especially if people with good records were on it...the beauty of this is collective brains working together-we could all see Manning is done for example, so we shouldn't all play that?

Logically, wouldn't it actually be the exact opposite to what you are saying?
The thread has a ranking system which USC_Holmey updates daily (extremely diligent - thank you). If the majority of the better cappers on this thread are posting $$$$ plays on the same game, I would think the probability of that one game being a winner would be higher than if every good capper on the thread picked a different game as their $$$$ play for the evening and expecting every one of them to hit.
