Write up for ND: Mike Brey at home on senior night against a Pitt team that relies heavily on the 3 and has tons of pressure to lockup an ACC crown share before they go home and get smashed by Miami Saturday. ND shoots lights out and wins this one

Idiotic angle for ND: a 21-8 road team fighting for conf title only laying -4 on road to a 10-19 team that’s 2-16 in conference. Read between the lines.
Will likely add more to this bet tomorrow

both of these teams rely on the 3 ball for 38%+ of their points. And both shoot it very well. ND, despite their record, is a top 50 shooting team in almost all metrics. ND, at home, with Brey's Def tactics will trouble Pitt. ND disallows the opponent 3 ball and less than 30% of opponent points come from deep. So, stylistically it's tough for Pitt. Plus, Brey will shade and switch on every single pick and roll out top with their tall and athletic bigs. This will hinder Pitt's open looks. I like ND in the game too but think it's more likely ND troubles Pitt in the 1st half than the adjustments after halftime. on the other hand, Pitt allows the majority of points from deep for opponents which plays right into NDs offensive hands. Pitt sags and packs it in and is a top 50 team in not allowing paint points and opponents to get to the FT line. Normally that matters. In this game, it does not. ND is 358th in FT line points as a % of total points so they don't get to the line alot. It boils down to style and matchup.. I think ND at home with the 4 senior contributors (not senior night but 2nd to last home game) for Brighammer, Brooks, Cooley, Martin, will be disciplined on D and with turnovers and shoot lights out as well as limit Pitts looks and 2nd chance points. Look for the upset and the Miami/Pitt game saturday to be a de facto ACC championship. also, look for Pitt 1H points to go under the 34.5. ND has no chance at the cover much less winning if this is a fast tempo game

Charleston Southern relies on the 3, so this is dangerous. However, in a tournament 1st round and playing in a neutral site, we always look for poor shooting with the depth perception and background changed. Think they start slow. don't want to play the 1h under total bc high point relies on teh 2 and CSU gives up the 2, so there could be points but hoping the 3 ball isn't falling for CSU early

providence started 2/17 from field. xavier started 9/16. regression and Prov makes it a close game at home no doubt as they are drawing fouls and 4/4 from line, look for that to wear down X. currently 21-8 X at 10 minutes

SMSU slow. Austin fast. SMSU shoots and gives up 3s. Austin does not but gets/gives a lot of FTs. Little bit of a juxtaposition in styles and a meaningful game with top2 and 3 teams in conference both with outside shot at title if win out and utah valley loses out, small chance but meaningful. I think both teams get plenty of open looks off the dribble penetration and kickout and also draw a bunch of fouls so scoring will be a plenty in my opinion. still small $500 play though as it could easily be played in 50s if 3s aren't falling.
