I think it's too late to jump on the Cornell train.
With that said, they have a great backdoor potential with Whitman shooting 3's and UK's lack of interest in fighting through screens and getting out on shooters at times.
As mentioned by a few, the key to this game for the Big Red is to keep UK from scoring in transition. That will be VERY difficult as they haven't faced a John Wall-type player who can be a one-man fast break similar to Ty Lawson from last year's championship team, but they will be very disciplined as most "smart" teams are.
Now to beat UK you need to play a zone, which I'm not sure if Cornell does. It'd be smart to run one all day if you can stop UK from getting out in transition as it will lead a young 'Cats team into taking some 3pt shots that they struggle with especially when they'll be playing in a cavernous football stadium.
So basically a slow-game (not necessarily under just limited fast break) means a Cornell cover and possibly a SU win. I'm just not sure I want to be caught praying for that...

Willy Wonka... Kentucky is a basketball program. Tennessee is a football program. Can't compare the think Cornell wins Straight up as much as covers posters are saying Cornell will get beat by DD.
Best of Luck either way you go. I did have Cornell on the Money line and spread verses Wisky.
And in my Elite 8.
So....... One last thought. Favorites are for Suckers, and Dogs are where you make money.
I NEVER WIN ON A FAVE. By they way Up 17 units yesterday on Ljubic verses Roddick. Favorites burn your money unless you are betting Kentucky verses East Tennessee state who you know have no hope of keeping up!
Pretty silly comment- Favorets for Suckers- How about those suckers that bet on GA Tech, Gonzaga, Ohio, Wake, Maryland, BYU, Missouri. Probably more, but don't be a clown.

Thats a great pick then. I think cornell can do it though. I dont think uk is unbeatable. A bunch of freshmen (nba ones i know) against a bunch of seniors. Who knows
Granted no team is unbeatable and anything can happen will. lol
Percentages is UK will win over Cornell, can they beat the spread is another issue.
It's Nice to have College senior's with basketball experience. The question to ask is why are they still here and not in the NBA?
UK might have 5 first round draft choices on the team. Whoa, thats saying they are really talented.

Another reason I like Cornell is because Louis Dale has been a solid guard. He can score when needed, plays smart and under control, but the best stat he has is only 72 turnovers for the entire season, 6 in the tournament, and Cornell as a whole only 18. Say what you want about home court but Cornell is very close to Syracuse. Kentucky will have its share of fans too. If this game is close down the stretch 75% of the fans will be cheering for the underdog....its just the way it is.

this will not be ahome game for cornell. UK fans travel anywhere prime example - Nashville TN - sec championship Tenn vs UK 90% crowd UK even though in Tenn.
There will be more UK fans there than Cornell fans. Regardless Cornell will struggle to score here especailly from 3 and UK will run run run and win by at least 15. GL all
won by 17 and shot 5-21 from 3.
