so you think USM will cover? USM is something like in the top 20 in defense this year i think. we got really unlucky. losing to memphis by a few, losing to UAB by 1, losing to UTEP by 3....really close games.

Lu -- I think your analysis regarding turnovers is gonna be the story of this game. Turnovers = easy buckets, and when you have two teams that are such polar opposites (one loves creating steals, the other loves giving the other team the rock), that can easily mean 14-16 points during the course of a game. Those steals leading to easy buckets can really have a demoralizing effect on a team too.

Yes, I agree.  Not only easy buckets, but if not an easy bucket, then a likely foul...early bonus time for the Cougars...scoring with the clock stopped and stretching a lead.
