I can't agree more.  UMN has a horrible coaching staff and they are tremendously inconsistent.  But they just have too much talent for UCLA, I don't see how the seedings aren't reversed for these two teams.  UMN wins in the first round and gets thumped in the second, just like every other Tubby-led team.

Kap... I just got back from the Pac-12 Tournament and other than having too much faith in UCLA after the Zona win (I was on UCLA that time too) despite the loss of Adams I was able to cash every straight ticket (got a little cute with a couple teasers trying to hit both sides cost me a little).  I walked away from the championship saying damn Shabaaz has all the talent in the world but no heart.  The kid rarely but his neck on the line, refused to take the game over, couldn't make his free throws and hated contact.  Thoughts on Shabaaz?  Met Larry Drew III and that guy is hilareous.  Felt bad for Adams.  The kids carried the team against Zona.  Hell even finished out the game on a hairline fracture leg.  BOL!

Hey Jes, glad you had a great time in Vegas, wish I could have joined you.

Shabazz has world class talent but does not seem to give consistent effort, extremely frustrating as a fan. He should be dominating on both ends of the floor but never really seems to do so, which is a giant warning/red flag in my opinion. He doesn't even really ever seem to truly take over games like a player of his caliber should. Really like Drew III, was hesitant on him at first but he's been a fantastic player for UCLA the last ten games or so.

Adams is a warrior, his loss will be felt hard. He was the most consistent of the freshman on a night to night basis, will be impossible to replace his aggressiveness and shot-making abilities.

Good call Kap...Bruins are for sure, a very selfish group of ballplayers. This squad needed some toughness in the paint, no doubt. Mbkawe would have been a nice fit.
