With the tumult at Michigan with Coach Howard suspended, do you think they will be focussed. Something tells me that they will be with many saying that they don't belong...Than't for the perspective...

i like it, feels like they could go on a run out of nowhere as the team thats not supposed to be there. maybe playing with nothing to lose will actually open up their transition offense with all those future nba players

I don’t get why people are so upset about Texas A&M getting left out… they started playing games on 11/10. If you take 3/11 & 3/12 off the schedule that is an atrocious season.

@green33
They had a win over Arkansas & @Alabama all year long before the weekend. That’s it. Had to win the SEC tournament and they came up short. Throw ND in there as the next best win.
Mich had wins over SDSU, @Indiana, Purdue, @ Iowa, @Ohio St, MSU.
Sure they had more losses but can’t really be surprised by that with a top 5 schedule. That’s why they’re in the field.

Exactly, #7 toughest in the country. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a deep run. And I hate Michigan

I’ve said it in multiple threads if Michigan plays to their capability they can win the entire tournament. I just don’t think they’ll get the consistency they need from the PG Jones. He’s a scorer and too often he looks to himself first and doesn’t involve the rest of the offense. He turns it over way too much and can be a liability defensively. I think ultimately that he will be the downfall vs a very good defensive team like Tennessee.
People forget this is a team returning Dickinson & Brooks who were apart of last years team that was 3 points from a final 4. They have 2 freshman in the starting 5 so it’s not entirely surprising they have had ups and downs this season.
If Howard would trust his bench a little more & not run Jones into the ground then the skies the limit for this team.
They played 15 quad 1 games this year, and compare that to another bubble team SMU who played 4. A&M went a month without winning a game and got handled by mostly tourney teams in that stretch. They had their chance to show they can play but they got mopped. Conference tournaments don’t mean as much as people think unless you win and get an auto bid.
Im not going to predict a deep Michigan run because they’ve been insanely inconsistent, but will tell you since I follow pretty closely that they have the talent to play with anyone in the field and when Jones isn’t being a reckless with the ball can beat anyone.
Ultimately I’d predict the softness on defense will do them in vs a very good defensive team in Tennessee.
