Terps rolled NW early this week in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge as they took a close game at the half and turned it into a joke. Too much athlesticim and a front court that had size was just zero match.
Terps return "home" for a game in a lame assed tournament that needs to go away. It's a shell of its former self and really a waste of time. George mason is off to a good start at 5-2, having beaten UVa already this season. Terps are favored by 5 and the total is 131.5.
A common theme for this year will be the Terps dominance on the boards against probably everyone on the regualr seaosn schedule except UNC. It's funny because we got killed on the boards last year but things are MUCH improved this year in that area. Terps have a huge rebounding margin advantage over opponents this season and it will be no different Sunday. We have three big bodies to run at them and they really don't shoot all that well anyway (see their points for /game) so the boards will be an issue for them.
If the Terps can get settled in the backcourt, this can be very good team. They are deep, big, rebound well, don't rely on any ass clown like Stoglin last year ( I hated that selfish F U C K E R) and the Terps don't have to have a certain player have a big night to win. Turnovers are an issue but I belive that will improve in time. I don't think the tempo George Mason plays will lend itself well to turning the Terps over very much as up-tempo and George Mason don't go together.
I'll just cut to the chase. I am really surprised at this line. I believe the Terps are a better team in almost every area and the -5 makes zero sense to me. I am wondering it maybe Vegas thinks that on a neutral court maybe GM will have a bunch of people there or maybe because they are 5-2 they are solid??? I just don' think they are in the same league as my Terps and honestly, this is a great example fo the lack of early season respect we have to capitalize on. I think George Mason will really struggle to score so I like the under as well. They average less than 60 pts/game against pretty bad teams so tomorrow will not be easy for them. This line is all wrong.

I don't make those sorts of plays, not because it's not a goot idea but just because I keep my stuff to pretty simple plays. Not sure that helps you but I will say I like this play.......so if you add strong plays to reverse action bets, fire away!

Yeah I have alot of thoughts about joining the B1G. At first I was not a fan at all becuase Ive grown up a huge ACC and Terp fan. It feels weird and because I live in the southeast, I got to a good number of Terp basketball games that were within 6 hours drive. Now that is all gone. My friends who are Dook, NCSU and GT fans are giving me a real hard time about it too.
That being said, it's a financial windfall that can't be passed on. The landcape will be four major conferences (ACC not one of them) in five years and we now have a permenant seat at the table. I will learn to like it I'm sure. I worry that our basketball recruiting will suffer from but hope I am wrong. That is our sport along with a few more secondary sports (mens soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, etc) so we will liely be a half assed B1G football team for many, many years.

Let's not lose sight of this under also. Tempo-wise with George Mason, I don't see it getting there, especially when you throw in the fact that they aren't going to get too many second chances. Throw in the Terps streaky shooting and I am guessing something like 70-55.
