Really appreciate you posting the write ups Bookie, this way folks can read it and decide if they like the angle enough to tail it.
Way more helpful than seeing folks just post their play.

Rutgers anybody? Awesome defense and playing at home. I got it at -6 in a Mexican casino. Just asking for thought or opinions. Best of luck to all

@Elfrijol
I hate betting on NIT because you never know who actually wants to be there. This Rutgers team seems like they will get up and compete any day and any time so I like them at home -6 as well with you.

@buffer
Feels safe to me, with or without Simpson. And this is more of a bet against Seton Hall. They regressed badly at the end of season, 1-5 ats I believe and capping it with a loss to DePaul in first round. Buffs covered spread without Simpson against Washington then led UCLA without him at half and with 5 minutes remaining in 2nd round. Cross-country altitude trip for East Coast team with game starting at 11pm for Pirates' body clock.

Marquette 4-6 record this year when favored by 10 1/2 or more. Vermont is a red hot team, I agree they give Marquette all they want and then some.

@Coben
Yeah I prefer late night blow outs to late night sweats lol but a winning night trumps all. Colorado did what they could do give it away. Until that great defensive stand on last possession.

That's def my lean. Fine for 1 Unit. Generally, I like full game bets since they cut down variance unless there's exceptional circumstances.

Sam Houston St vs Santa Clara UNDER 144 (-115)

Going with the under here given the game that both of these teams are coming off of and the Bearkats hold a top 10 road defensive ppg average in the country and these teams will probably want to figure each other out a bit in the first half. Both teams just had long winning streaks ended by upsets, but are still overachieving with NIT appearances and will be motivated to be here. Both teams have an OT game in their last 5 and just allowed the highest 3 pt shooting % of the season to their opponents in their upset losses combining for 30 made 3 ptrs allowed. I would guess the focus defensively in practice for both teams was on closing out on the perimeter which should create longer possessions and more 2-point shot selections to get us under 144.

Cincinnati -5 vs Virginia Tech (-105)

This is a motivational mismatch. VT was expected to be a decent seed in the NCAA tourney this year, even receiving an ACC preseason first place vote. They were kind of on the bubble a week ago too while Cincy realistically anticipated an NIT bid being an accomplishment this year with Houston and Memphis tiers above in their mid-major conference. Being at home, with the chance to beat a power 5 ACC team will also help incentivize Cincy. VT's bubble popped in demoralizing fashion last week in a loss to NC St by 20 in a game that wasn't even that close. Now they have to travel to the midwest to play a mid major team that they're about 100 spots behind in defensive efficiency rating.

The juice is not for the faint of heart here so I don't expect a lot of people to tail this, but just being as transparent as possible. Write up in morning.
