So I have decided that this will be my last post of the season for me... I might be back during the NIT and NCAA Tournament, but I have just been so inconsistent lately and the amount of 0.5 point losses I have had has led me to make this decision.
Disclaimer... I know that what I am about to say, most people don't care about and I am sure there will be some people who comment "who gives a shit?", but this is my thread and I am not too worried about it It seems like the college basketball season goes by quicker and quicker each year. I absolutely love posting here on Covers, and alot of you I see in my threads and interact with year in and year out. This last year has been the worst/toughest year of my life. My grandpa passed away from his 3rd bout with cancer 1 week before my birthday last March, the culmination of almost 3 years of pain in my hip turned out to be a rare tumor (thankfully not cancerous, although that fear was initially there) and so going through surgery and the post surgery process was extremely difficult, my gf who I had legitimately thought about proposing to broke up with me the day after surgery (so looking back on it I guess I dodged a bullet ), had to put my 12 year old German Shepard down, caught covid the day before I was to be a groomsman in my cousin's wedding and 2 days before I was to see my Panthers play the Saints, and just seemed like one thing after another. But I have gotten up each time life has knocked me down, and I will 100% keep doing so.
So just wanted to say thank you to everybody who posted in my threads this year; it meant a lot and I will yall nothing but the bol the rest of the year. There's a good chance I'll be back at some point during the ncaa tournament, but just in case I don't, I wanted to take a minute and say thanks

Sounds like a tough year and sorry about your losses. Good luck going forward in bot life and gambling! Take care
I really appreciate that bro. I think we get caught up in the moment sometimes when bad things happen, and we forget all the other times life has knocked us off our feet and how we got back up. It doesn’t necessarily make situations better, but it gives up hope and the mindset that no matter what life throws at you, you can… and WILL, bounce back
thanks again for the well wishes brotha; like I said, I usually make a brief appearance during the big tournament each year so if I do that again this year, I’ll see ya then. If not, bol to you the rest of the season and hope 2022 brings you happiness

EX- I truly wish you the best. Sorry to hear about all the things that have happened and been thrown your way. I can tell you though--all of it will make you stronger in the end. I have gone through similar in the last 12 years; diagnosed with severe kidney disease, out of the blue when I was 40 and in tip-top shape. At the time, some of the best renal specialists told me I would probably lose the kidneys and need transplantation within 3-5 years. I told them they really don't know me then. Fast forward 12 years, kidneys are still in me functioning normally to all their amazement. Now one of the top FSGS Specialists in the country, my Dr., understands the power of positivity and that someone who becomes his own advocate can influence outcomes. I have made it a point to know more than the average Nephrologist and speak to groups all the time and tell them that a positive attitude and support structure and going the extra mile is 50% of the battle.
Bottom Line EX--- Keep on keeping on. Good luck brother.

EX- It's been no picnic. Through the chronic ingestion of steroids, I have snapped both small biceps off each shoulder (not at the gym), had cataract surgery, three retina surgeries, right knee replacement at Rush (HS/College Baseball), been told I couldn't have a child while on the meds (have a kick-ass 9yr old now), and currently undergoing my 4rth chemo cycle from a recent flare-up from 6 yr full remission. I take it all in stride. You seem to have the same attitude which is refreshing. This site is plagued with negativity. If you don't have your health, what do you have? Sports gambling, fishing, and chewing tobacco have been wonderful outlets for me for 35 years. I have booked for 15 yrs and bet for 35 and become quite disciplined. Been looking at covers for 25 years and just started posting.

That is truly inspirational and I admire you and the mentality you had going through all of that. I try to hold myself to the same mindset. I can tell just from that post that we both have a very similar mindset and outlook on life and the different situations we find ourselves in. Thank you so much for the post and hope to hear from you again

i can’t tell you how much I appreciate it brother. You have been awesome when it comes to giving me words of encouragement. It really means a lot to me. I tend to keep most things to myself and not open up to anybody, so one way of getting stuff off my chest is to open up on here… but I’m fully aware this isn’t necessarily the place to vent or open up or anything; so I understand the people that don’t give a shit. But for you and some other people to read what I post and acknowledge it like you do, it means a lot. You’re a standup guy. I’ll probably be back during the big tournament, but if not, take care of yourself and I look forward to hearing from you next season

EX-There is only one fine wine from the chewing side of things........COPE SNUFF.....The rest is all candy to me. I actually switched over to Grizzly Snuff about 5 years ago. If I'm out I can chew anything.....and I mean anything Haven't had a cavity in 45 years. My mom, past girlfriends, and both wives all have tried to make me stop and I might sometime, but as an avid wader of small streams, rivers, and ponds; I must always have a lipper going. Maybe we can talk offline; I have some crazy stories I could share. Hopefully, you tailed some of my picks. Went 8-2 tonight on them.
