Clemson starting point guard Demontez Stitt is questionable for the Georgia Tech game due to a sprained left ankle suffered at NC State on January 16. Stitt suffered the injury while driving to the basketball when he was fouled. He made the first free throw and missed the second, so he stayed in the game for one more possession. But, after NC State scored, he was taken out of the game and did not play the last 13:37 of the game. NC State cut the margin from 10 points to one over the remainder of the game, but Clemson held on to a 73-70 victory. Stitt would be a big loss if he can’t go against the Yellow Jackets.
He is Clemson’s second leading scorer with an 11.3 average, including a 14.8 average in his last five games (even including the NC State game when he scored nine in little more than half the game).
Stitt is shooting 46 percent from the field, including a career best 36 percent on three-point shots, and a 77.4 figure from the foul line. He also leads the team in assists with 67 and is tied for fourth in steals with 24. He has shot 51 percent in ACC games and scored 15.3 points per game in ACC contests.
If Stitt can’t go, Andre Young will take over the starting point guard duties. Young has not started a game in his career, but is the team’ s fourth leading scorer with an 8.1 average. He is shooting 40 percent on three-point shots, best on the team, and leads the team in steals with 32. He will play in the arena where he had his best ACC game last year. In an eight-point win over the Yellow Jackets, Young made 4-4 three-point shots and scored 12 points in 17 minutes. For the year he was 6-8 on three-point shots against Georgia Tech.

Went to Illinois....follow them very closely. The games with Purdue are always tight because of the coaches. Weber learned the game at Purdue from Keady. Painter was recruited and mentored by Weber while at Purdue. They know each other well and will never run it up on the other guy.
Hummel is another story. Illinois had that guy sewn up and he slipped away to Purdue. He is an Illinois killa'.
The reason the line is growing is because Illinois is so freakin' soft inside. Tisdale is a bean pole that just can't hang with the bulk of the Big Ten. Davis is also kinda' scrawny and just won't mix it up inside. They get out rebounded by everybody and it's killing them in the Big Ten.
They have nobody that can cover Hummel. They will rotate a bunch of guys on him....but none of the guys sent in to check Hummel can score. They will foul the hell out of Hummel and hope for the best.
The formula for Illinois is pretty simple......they get whooped by teams with a strong presence inside. Purdue does not exactly have that element, so in this game, Illinois might just hang with them. If Illinois can play some D and rebound, the score will be low and the points make it an Illinois play. If Illinois gets into foul trouble and gets outrebounded, they will be playing catch up the second half and it will come down to free throws.

oh and i completely agree...this one gets ugly if they play defense lke they have all year....holding teams under 40% from the field and under 33% from three and only allowing 60 ppg.....only thing keeping me off this one right now is the back to back big big wins for this team...this could be a mild let down and open up for a back door
