Personnel match ups will be a huge issue for Louisville in this game.
How does Louisville guard both Young and Murphy, who both stand 6'10"?
If Young is guarded by Dieng, which will likely be the case, that match up is even.
So the problem for Louisville is Murphy who is a silky smooth shooter who doesn't mind playing out on the perimeter (a la Channing Frye), but will also take it to the hoop, if the opportunity exists.
Is Pitino prepared to play Swopshire the entire game to guard Murphy? If he does, that is a terrible match up for the Cardinals, as Swopshire brings little offensively.
Will Pitino use the press? If he does, that is likely a bad decision, with Florida playing 3 guards, they will easily break the press, which leads to wide open shots in transition, something the Gators are the best in the country at.
Chane Behanan becomes a defensive liability in this game for the Cardinals. He's to big to guard the quicker and smaller Florida guards, and to small at 6'6" to match up against Murphy or Young. How useful will he be?

The big east is not a powerhouse this year people..... Big east really is not much better than sec this season...... I know sec is traditionally weak and big east is a stud.....but this year I'll take sec top 3 teams with big east top 3....... Everyone always wants to argue about how "deep" the big east is but it's gonna be deep with 20 teams....... Big 12 and big 10 are tough.... But big time down year For big east

Because L-Ville's offense is down right horrible and they have survived on defense alone just to get to this point. I played 1st h under 61 & full game under 131.5 & here's why I did so:
L-Ville held L11 opp all under their scoring avgerage by 14.5ppg. Those 11 games & amount held under were as follows: 27.6, 16.7, 15.9, 24.2, 16.4, 4.4, 13.4, 16.2, 1.3, 15.4, 8.2. The under went 10-1 during this sick stretch of defense and defense is exactly what has gotten L-Ville to this point (Noy offense). Those numbers are also important because Fla ranks 199th in possessions and we all know how Pitino likes other team to dictate pace. Fla averages 76.1ppg minus 14.5= 61.6 & is favored by 1pt to equate to 122 & change. UL only scored past 50's 4 times during this 11 game stretch as stated already "Their offense is garbage"...
So your telling me I can bet the under on a game coached by Pitino who has let almost every team dictate how the pace will be played & Florida is no speed demon at 199th(tempo/pace/possessions). Yet I also get to bet the under on a game were Louisville has held it's past 11 opponents under their seasonal average by 14.5ppg & combine that with the fact that they have only scored more past the 50's four times during this stretch. Sign me up for sure because if Louisville offense looks anything like it did in these past 11 games I see no reason for coach Billy Donavan to need to push anything...
I play the 1st half under as well just because FT's could most definitely kill it in the remaining minutes...
So the answer to your question of why not to bet Louisville IMO would be their offense is freaking putrid and they can't be trusted....
That is a really interesting stat about Florida at 199th in tempo/pace/possessions. I have watched them a fair amount this year and it sure seems like they like to run and push the pace.
As others have mentioned they like get opportunities in the transition game.
If Pitino allows Florida to dictate pace and the gators push the tempo, this should be a blowout if the gator's 3's are dropping, no? If that plays out, how does L'ville keep up scoring?
I would think L'ville is going to do everything possible today to slow down the pace and play half court, try to keep gators from getting hot in the transition game.
