Mercer -5 Dartmouth 2 units  Mercer is a very different team at home.

Pepperdine was up 18 points in the second half only to get a push in the end.  Missed a Ft that would have made it a win.  Shot over 80 % from the free throw line on the night.  Game was close took Pepp -6 at half didnt post play

Statfox line off on this game shows 7 Mercer should be 12 point favorites in this game according to Statfox.  Will be checking Sagarian as well

Ball St -1 James Madison..I bought the hook on this from 1.5

The past 2 plays I have had should have won.  On both games I saw tweets from people at the game that were appaulled at the way it looked like the teams were paid Christmas gifts to lay down.  I will not say that I will only say I was on the wrong side of the game as I do know this kind of thing happens.  Especially this time of the year.  Very few of these games matter right now which is why I generally dont play baskets this early.  Coaches looking for the right rotation for upcoming conference play when they give it their best.  I have noticed the teams ranked in the top 25 are showing up night in night out though to keep their ranking.  In CBB rankings that matter are conference and conference tourney.  Getting into the big dance is all teams care about.  Tread lightly in this preseason and kill em in the regular season.  I have noticed that the consensus picks of covers lose at a high rate.  May start just going against them for a while and see what happens.  I learned a lesson yesterday on Mercer team that something was just not right about starting with the line dropping.  Hopefully Ball St plays to form tonight for an easy win

Seton Hall   Depaul and Pacific......Seton Hall game already started up 37-28....Pacific very good ATS so far.  Fade Depaul pick IMO as Ore St very good at home and Ats so far...Fade ..follow or do nothing BOL

Zona jumped out 18-2 and let them back in.  Zona first true road game.  When they want to they can play shut down defense.  This is one of the better Arizona teams along with being deep for some time.  Should have known it was trap type game. Utah St led most the game.

What do you think about Hawaii tonight? A friend that's a big CSU booster said that Hawaii always gets home  refs[this was a while ago and that may have changed] Fear the Web is on them and he's usually pretty good. Tough going against the Shockers with their discipline and experience but I think their  reputation precedes them and the island definitely has a strong home court bias .

Montana State kept me from going 0 fer yesterday.  These tournament games make it hard for some games.  I have made the mistake of taking 1 to 1.5 favorites and know better.  Each one of those have lost outright.  Gonna take a break regroup get me information together for conference play.  Will start posting Bowl games til then.  There are some underdogs that are gonna bark loud this bowl season.....FSU will be the loudest

Took time off for bowl season.  Waiting until halftime then taking the team behind to come back in 2nd half proved to be profitable..By the end it was laughable even in the blowouts how team losing played 2 different halfs.  Bama and FSU would have been playing in BCS Ship in old system....Gotta love the new system  2 Cinderella Stories really.  Conference BBALL action just getting underway..Time to get things rolling now.  This is first year I have played any baskets prior to right now.  Held my own record wise lost some units but I have a much better understanding going in.

TODAYS PICKS

IUPUI  +2 denver....Denver on the road is a great fade to start off.
Montana -3 ISU   ISU came from behind beat MSU....Not going to win 2 in a row against Montana teams.  Just never happens. Hate taking short road faves in conference games but this line will go up. ISU playing in football arena with no real home court advantage.  Montana needs a road conference breakthrough win.

UC Davis +3 Long Beach State ....Wrong team is favored in this game.  LB is 1-9 on the road this season.

Cal Poly Slo +3 ...Not sure why they are getting 3 points at home.....Something dont look right but I will bite and side with home team plus points on Saturday night.  Last Saturday Cal Poly beat Hawaii in Hawaii.  Maybe the travel has been factored into the line..
