For this price I gotta back my boys. They could be the best first half team in college.
From a match up perspective there's a couple areas that favor wvu.
Wvu crash the boards, averaging 13 off reb pg, 14.7 last 3.
The cyclones allow 10.8 opp off reb pg, ranked #338
The cyclones strength on offense is the 3ball, and they jack up a lot of em. 25 attempts pg and make 10.1 pg. Vs the neers 19.1 opp attempts pg and 6.7 3pt fg's allowed pg.
For a conference championship game where nerves will be "high" I don't want to back a team that relies on "high" % shots as a big part of their offense. Especially not early in a game.
I feel like Iowa just faced 2 teams (okie st & tcu) who don't have the defensive tools like wvu. WVU is not a team anyone can prepare for on no rest, they are a different monster.
I'll admit that they've been a little lazy lately, turnovers are down. It's hard to press all season long. But for the conference title...you bet your a s s they bring it full force.
Good Luck
