SIU-Edwardsville is the biggest fade in the business. They've won 11 D1 games in their 4 year history (playing horribly soft schedules), and were projected to finish in the worst 5 all NCAA this year. They have 1 good win this year against #226 Tennessee Tech, but aside from that they've been pure garbage.
Jacksonville St. hasn't done much to impress, but they have been really, really efficient defensively. Edwardsville has the #329 offense in the country, and although Jacksonville St. has struggled (to say the least) offensively, they go up against Edwardsville's #312 defense. Edwardsville is going to try to push the pace, but Jacksonville will force a lot of turnovers and keep them from pushing it. The only thing edwardsville is remotely good at is 3pt shooting, but jacksonville ranks 30th in country at defending the long ball.
Jacksonville St -5

i need to stop giving so much influence in "letdowns". saint mary's is destroying this abysmal pepperdine team right now, and the sole reason i didnt play it is because of a post-byu-win letdown. who gives a shit. they still have a top-10 offense, top 25 defense, and these kids live to play basketball, theyre not goign to chill out against a soft as shit pepperdine team. no 2h play, too much value lost.

Tough break. Arkansas st won, but couldn't cover. Fell behind too deep in the 1h due to ulm shooting 60%, and just couldn't get it back enough to cover. I knew that they would be able to soften the blow the the 2h so i put money on it, but still disappointed they failed to cover.
Hats of to Arizona. They're playing incredible defense.
Gotta go back and check, but i think im 4-4 today. *sigh*

6-7-1 right now with Tulsa looking good. Xavier will be the deciding factor of whether i have a winning night in college or not. 2-0 in NBA right now with everything looking pretty promising there.
Even if I go .500 on a day, it's comforting to know that the wins came easy and the losses came tough. So many games came down to the wire today that just split the wrong way. i.e. New Mexico, Austin Peay, OK State, Arkansas St.. So many easy, easy wins i.e. Utah State, Detroit, ark state 2h, etc.
Sorry to anyone who tailed me on Arkansas State. ULM had an insane 1st half and although Ark State was good enough to win, they were in too deep a hole to win + cover. It happens.
I rarely post unit sizes because, even though I can feel so, SO sure about a bet, at the end of the day, I'm relying on young college students to live up to a series of statistics and past performances. There's really no way to know that a team can cover a spread; there's just too many variables and unknowns. I will continue to post my opinions and unit sizes I guess, but I might stop in the near future, as it's just so shitty when you go 4-2 and the 2 losses are your 2u bets, and then it just nulls all your progress.
Yeah, think from here on out I'm going to make every play the same value. Why should I make a "1/2 unit" bet at all? Doesn't that just indicate that I'm unsure about whether it will hit? I am playing too much volume right now anyway, and juice adds up. I will try to just limit my plays to the absolute best.
I will admit though, it's fun to gamble, so it's tempting to add many plays. Doesn't really the covers community, though.
gL all- time to celebrate the new year w/ some close friends. I'll be back tomorrow with, hopefully, some winners and write-ups.
