3rd game in a row playing chalk at home, what-, Baylor/W, TENN/L. I'd rather be taking points but if I like it, well, I'm playing.
Another line, like the Baylor game, caught my attention. These 2 just played on Jan. 11, Stanford won by 6 as a 6.5 point dog @ home, tonight @ USC yet the Trojans are a DD fav, -10.5. Hmm...
There's alot to like about USC, 17-2, 42.3 RPG, 2nd nationally to AZ, +9 difference. Opponents FG pct. 36.9%, 3rd, defense 63 PPG, 41st, and 47.3% offensive FG pct, 42nd. Weakness? 62.4% FT, they have to improve alot there if they want to do well come March. After losing to Oregon @ home, 3 nice wins in a row and 3 ATS covers too.
STAN, 11-6 coming off win over ASU after losses to AZ and Wash. In the 3 point home win, Stan got some home cooking from the refs going to the FT line 41 times, made 32, while the Sun Devil's went only 9 times, making 7. Something wrong with that picture.
Cardinals in their losses struggle offensively, and you know USC is going to have their top tier defense cranked up after a sloppy performance 2 weeks ago in Palo Alto, and STAN avgs 16 TO's per game, 11th highest nationally. STAN 1-5-1 ATS last 6 OTR, USC is 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS last 5 at home vs STAN. USC has struggled to cover at home this season against others, 1-5 ATS last 6, but the win/cover was their last game vs ASU winning by 22 as a 12 pt fav. Interesting that both teams are coming off games/wins vs AZ St.
I think the word revenge is overused in sports but in a quick turnaround AND USC was undefeated when STAN upset them, believe the Trojans have been thinking long and hard about this one.
TROJANS -10.5, -110
As always good luck to all!
