stupid question im sure, but what is a "steam play"?
Steam play is when lines are moving because there is a lot of money coming in on one side. If you see a team at -1 and they don't have big public % on them....and they all the sudden are -2 or -3, then that would be a steam play.

This is the absolute best way to bet the NBA.

Watch out for Yale. I'll be at the game and let everyone know the status of Mullery and Sullivan. If they're both 100 percent there's no way that Yale can hang with them.
If they're not, Yale could win this outright. Last week Mullery was about 50 percent, played the high post and dished out 7 assists but wasn't a factor at all scoring the ball. So, off comes freshman Andrew McCarthy from the bench and he took over. But he's raw, too thin, and I don't think he can do that again tonight.
This is a big game for Yale which usually plays well here, but Yale is not good at all this year. That being said, if Mullery isn't a factor I could Zampier lighting them up for 30 tonight in what is a must-game for the Bulldogs. Zampier knows the importance of this game and will most likely try to do it all himself and he's good to do it against a team like this.
Still, Mullery and Sullivan are the biggest keys to the game. If Mullery is healthy he'll get a ton of easy points inside and Brown should roll. I'll let you know their status before tip-off, hopefully around 6:30 est.
And .. I don't think I've even seen so many people wish someone Happy Bday as much as this thread.

You can find public % vs Line movement info at a few places. I look at vegasinsider and also sbr forum. They have a good chart of who the public is on and they also show where the lines started and where they are at. I think scoresandodds.com shows that stuff as well.

So you bet on the team laying or getting the points?
How can you tell the % of public on them?
Thanks

I'm not a mod, it's just that these threads get out of control with a lot of meaningless posts (people posting their picks etc.). I have nothing against people posting in other people's threads, cause I do it too, just try to keep it somewhat on topic. Every capper like to read each other's threads and read info/viewpoints on other capper's picks and going through some of these threads is more of a headache the anything else. Thats all i'm referring too FIT.
