If there ever was a game to fix this one was it. For the first 35 minutes of the game Cuse is called for 13 fouls to Maryland's 11. Then in the last 5 minutes Cuse is called for SIX fouls and NONE on MD until the last 5 seconds when the score is where they wanted it? Too obvious to ignore.

I took a big hit on that game too. had cuse ATS. Even bought down to 3 and lost that.
It looked like an easy winner the whole game as cuse had a DD lead most of the game.
I blame coach Boheim and here;s why:
He is the one dictating the play with 2-3 min left in the game.
You see an obvious change of play from cuse in the last few min of the game. All they were concerned with was eating up clock and failing to run any solid plays to get a good look at the basket.
This is a horrible strategy as you still need to put up points even if you are up by 10+ you cant just eat clock. Syracuse played very soft down the stretch and almost lost the game. Taking dumb jumpshot after another. It was killing me. Just settling for whatever on offense. You cant assume you are going to stop the opposing team every time on defense you need to keep scoring.
I know Boeheim is a great coach but I hate the way he has his team play when he has a lead in the final few minutes. They let them climb right back in.
If Boheim was out of the picture the last few minutes of the game and just let the kids play ball they would've won by at least 8-10 and covered.

I know they buy refs and try to change the outcome of games you just cant beat the zebras lol. I had cuse but knew in the matchup that Maryland should stick with them all the way, I just thought they would let cuse win last night and cover.

For the first 35 mins Syracuse played normal but for the last 5 they went into clock milking mode. It's hard to get fouls called when you dribble the ball 30 secs and then take a desperation jumper at the shot clock buzzer.

Wait a minute, this response is way too logical and not as fun as a good conspiracy. Personally I think Bush and Obama had something to do with that fix last night. It was so obvious.

Did anyone actually watch the game??? Syracuse didn't hurt itself by holding the ball at the end of the game. They actually got really lucky with CJ Fairs stepback 3 and Cooney's fadeaway jumpshot. Both came with under 3 minutes and both came with the shot clock expiring. Syracuse turned the ball over multiple times against the press and maryland was hitting their 3's and free throws to keep the game close. If Syracuse didn't run the clock they would have lost because Maryland was getting hot and the Cuse were shooting awful. So to say the game was fixed was clearly wrong and I disagree that holding the ball hurt them because they actually scored on those possessions as opposed to turning it over against the press. Just my opinion
