i put this at -29........ not much to say ...... sort of like my Cornell/Columbia writeup from Monday.....
but Monmouth even worse, way worse, shooting than Columbia and Charleston arguably better than Cornell overall, not on offense necessarily but overall ranked better by Kenpom and efficiency #'s. Like that game, this game cannot be more of a mismatch and favor CoC in every way. Monmouth is suuuuuuper young and inexperienced and no returning minutes or points from last year. They shoot the ball at 27% from 3, 42% from 2,. and 60% from FT line for rankings of 356th, 349th, and 357th nationally...... yes....... they are THAT piss poor shooting. My god.... what else do we need to say? They rank in bottom 5 nationally in offense AND defense. They f'in suck. Charleston is going to toy with them. And the funny thing is: Charleston is fast paced, will push tempo and have wide open looks from 3 all day. They'll have wide open looks from everywhere. Monmouth gives up 40% of opponent points from distance and Charleston makes over 40% of their points from the long ball. They shoot 33% only from 3 which is lower than you expect for sure but they are top 50 ranks in 2 pt % and FT % and blended/weighted shooting %'s. I see that 3 pt % climbing substantially in this game vs a Monmouth team that doesn't defend whatsoever. Charleston will get all they want on O here and Monmouth just can't score to keep this anywhere near respectable. No lookahead for Charleston. No homecourt for Monmouth. No injuries. Should be a loose type go out and knock their head off type game where Charleston has this line covered or close to covered by half time. They are 19-1 with the only loss to UNC so they will be focused no matter who the opponent and still looking for national attention. CofC also doesn't foul and so no worries on starters potentially sitting out early or MM getting cheap FT points early and MM also has a high turnover rate so CofC pressure D should create turnovers, more possessions, and cause MM quick, bad shots. Oddsmakers can't make this line high enough.... i see a 88-58 type blowout on the road for CofC. might add tomorrow. good luck all

@contrarian..... of the 14 replies to my pick in this thread 4 mention the writeup, 5 including you. so yes, is the answer to your question and I guarantee you every single person has read part or all of it. People that post picks without reasoning and/or that take the time to post without anything salient are a detriment to a forum like this, e.g. you. Thanks for stopping by

Contrarian is just a dickhead loser who jumps from post to post trying to get under peoples skin. I’m assuming he’s in a bad mood because he shit his pants and got in trouble from his mommy and is now in timeout. Don’t pay any attention to this asshole and just keep posting winners my friend.

@contrarian, challenge accepted. outline the terms and conditions and I'm in. Preferably for $10k in Ethereum would be my ideal prize and self deletion of your account. Picks submitted in a thread rest of year, at least 1x/day. And we send the crypto to a trusted 3rd party to be held as an escrow wallet. If $10k is too much for you, I understand.

He won't get under my skin; internet tough guy and keyboard warriors who criticize peoples' plays without any insight or who think they are 'contrarian' aka don't know WTF they are doing never bother me. I see my bank and investment account balances, crypto wallet, and offshore accounts and that's all the justification i need. good luck whatever you play
