1-1; (-1unit)
As I've mentioned before, my writeups will be shorter (and also few and far between) until my semester is over.
I'm on Northern Colorado +2.5 over Cal Poly.
As I mentioned in the TCU over Cal Poly thread - there are lots of new faces (especially down low) and its going to take time for them to learn the complicated offensive and defensive schemes that Cal Poly likes to employ. Cal Poly is on my fade early, support later list and I'm happy to be a few points in this matchup.
This is strictly a matchup play on Northern Colorado as they will be playing at a tempo and hopefully scoring at a clip that will make Cal Poly uncomfortable. Cal Poly's coach was quoted as saying that he knows they won't be able to stop them from scoring, and that there goal is to keep them from getting into the 70's or 80's. That is definitely a problem for a team that doesn't have any clear cut scorers and have a hard time drawing fouls and getting to the line. Playing TCU in their last game doesn't help matters either as its a completely different style of team (an underrated angle IMO).
Other games I'm looking at (but haven't locked in yet):
Umass -8.5
Utah State +4.5
Idaho St +10.5
Good luck with whatever you decide
