Saturdays are big days for us bettors. From saturdays full of college football, to saturdays full of college basketball. during football season i would do a separate parlay for each the 1:00, 3:00, 7:00 and late games. However, only IF the board presented me with enough teams i liked. this morning, i see a 12:00 parlay i certainly love, and will probably post another 1 or 2 today.
Maryland Terrapins -200 vs Minnesota
-I'll start off by saying I am a Terp fan, but no bias here. Maryland is fast becoming a basketball school, and their homecourt will be JUMPING today. Minnesota isnt a bad team by any means, but this Terps team is reaching the next level. Hell, they just went into MSU and got a hard fought win that the refs tried to rob them of. This team is clicking right now, and I dont see them having a letdown in front of their students today. Not a big historical trend guy by any means, but the terps are 4-0 lifetime vs the gophers (last meeting was 2008 so take it for what its worth..not much) With maryland on the rise, i expect the crowd to be absolutely electric today.
Oklahoma St vs Kansas St -300
-While OK St lost Marcus Smart to the draft, they still have Lebryan Nash, and he can score the basketball. They arent the same "elite" team they were last year, but are still a pretty good ball club, especially at home. Add in a K St. team that has lost 2 in a row, is 0-2 on the road, and OK st is 6-1 at home, i like OK St. for the win. That kid Forte is a good shooter too and should contribute a few of threes. Simple analysis: OK st has been playinh well lately, K St. has not. Home team wins.
Thats it for the noon games. I almost added Villanova into this to get really good odds, but Seton Hall scares me. I think Nova gets the win, but Hall has been playing with a ton of heart lately and i didnt want to put any risk in my first play of the day.
Maryland -200/Oklahoma St -300 ..... 1 unit to win 1 unit
I'll post another play around 1 oclock or so, as there are some mismatches coming up in the 2:00 and 3:00 games.
As always, best of luck to all, and any opinions or thoughts are more than welcome!
