No idea how they respond to grueling and physically-taxing games over the weekend against ND and FSU. The good news is they have revenge for last year's heartbreaking road loss to the Crimson, a game the Hawks dominated for 32-33 minutes before choking it away at the end. Motivation should be there tonight, but I have concerns about stamina and a crowd that could (though unlikely) be depleted with the students going on break today.

Big stage for the Michigan young guys. Gut says experience wins and Pitt reintroduces itself to the nation as a player on the national scene. Should be a GREAT game.

The only teaser I will ever play is a 2-team (5.5 pt) structured around key numbers where I can move a small underdog to a medium underdog and vice versa. Anything in excess of two teams is an absolutely losing proposition in the long-term.

Virginia -5.5 (2 units) I have been on all four Virginia games this season (faded vs. Delaware and Mason, backed against Seattle and Lamar) and again see an opportunity with the fifth one tonight. The common denominator in each play? Jontel Evans. He missed the two losses whilst recovering from offseason foot surgery before returning to the lineup full-time against Seattle. Few players in the country are as important to his team's success as is Evans. On a team that can struggle to score and still looking to replace the cavernous hole left by Mike Scott, Evans is the consummate floor leader and facilitator. He's also quality defender who causes problems at the top Bennett's pack-line defense.
Speaking of the pack-line, North Texas could be in a world of trouble tonight offensively. Everyone and their mother knows about Tony Mitchell. Consequently, there is a conception that North Texas is a powerful offensive team. That is true when the Mean Green can get out and run, but against a defense like Virginia that is the basketball version of a root canal, UNT is going to struggle. North Texas wants to score from the inside. Problem is, Bennett packs it in and forces teams to beat him with contested jumpers from behind the arc. On the second half of a back-to-back and coming off of an up-and-down game last night, the chances of UNT lighting it up from deep are not good.
It seems like Virginia is salty about its slow start and missing out on an expected trip to MSG. This is a team that was supposed to be playing against Pitt, Michigan, and Kansas State. Instead, they get Seattle, Lamar, and North Texas. The Evans injury was clearly a major problem, but with him back in the lineup, we should see another ferocious UVA effort.
