Familiarity with the arena and crowd support are the two main reasons.
I wouldn't read too much into it though, it's not as if the people making the lines aren't aware of this, and if it was going to be a significant factor, the line would already reflect that.
That being said, UCONN did not play in the BE tourney that past two seasons, so only those players that are Jr's or Sr's will have any experience playing there, unless they played a neutral court game or two over the last two seasons, which they very well may have. Biggest reason must be crowd support and shorter travel times.
First you said nobody outside Jrs and Seniors had played in MSG.
Second.....how did that home garden advantage end up working out? Uconn led the entire game you read into the line and Vegas trapped you. Take the edge not what looks like traps next time.
